It's been almost four years since my last proper bike fitting and I'd say a lot has changed in terms of my flexibility and fitness, so in anticipation of the upcoming season, I went in for updated measurements.
I won't bore you with the nitty gritty details about various body angles, but the bottom line is that very little needed to be changed: cleats moved back about 3mm, putting my feet forward of the pedals and the saddle went up 2mm, opening my leg angle at the bottom of my pedal stroke.
Now I'm just waiting for the temps to rise a bit and for the salt to be cleared off the roads.
It's a long way off, but this also means that my measurements are pretty set and not much will probably change between now and my 30th birthday, which is when I plan on gifting myself one of these: www.flickr.com/photos/speedblogen/2821811481/ or possibly one of these: www.flickr.com/photos/baumcycles/5156041489/in/set-721576...
One of many times the skin was mated with the frame in order to check and adjust the fit. The frame needs to fit the frame correctly so latter when the bottom of the skin is replaced there will be an accurate pattern to help adjust the size.
Gracie test fitting a new dress for the shop before the back seam and closure is worked on. Shockingly enough I woke up early enough this morning (I am NOT a morning person) to work on this.
There seems to be a pull between shoulder blades - I think prominent shoulder blades seem to be the problem. And too much fabric middle back waist has dropped - sway back?
I thought I would post some more photo's of my Sportster hood fitting before removing it for the summer. I keep it fitted on the car during the winter to stop it getting too creased folded up in the boot. This picture is of the cant rail pins. I keep them on my key ring when not fitted to avoid them getting lost. 3mm diameter split pins.
Test fitting the left chainstay. The tubes are fat enough that the chainstays intersect the seat tube, which makes this tedious. There's some brass on the chainstay left over rom a previous tacking attempt.
