It was a polytechnic built to help the children of Steelton's trapped "mill class" (largely European immigrants) rise in American society. I'm pretty sure it worked so clap clap.

I didn't want to post something on this, but I felt I needed something here. My wife of 23 years passed away last month at a hospital in La Jolla. Her room there had a wonderful view of the ocean she enjoyed very much. She was 49 years old. She was very much loved and will be missed by many.
If flickr wasn't the place to express my feelings then I don't know what all my other photos are doing here. Such collections of photos do tell a lot about a person and I couldn't leave this out. So if you thought I've been quiet here on flickr lately, now you know.

The daffodil is a symbol of rebirth - a sign of the new beginnings that come with spring. Daffodils are often found connected with Easter and Easter religious services because of their new birth significance.
It was the first day of Spring and I have been really cooped up all winter, so I decided to see how my knee would react to a short hike. This wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I picked Cascade Brook. This section of the brook was all but buried, but things opened up a little further up the hill. Most of the snow has melted, but nothing in budding or turning green yet.
Oh, my knee survived the hike! Yay!

It's time to mow but I think I'll enjoy the wildflowers a little longer. This Dog Violet and a stalk of Henbit are enjoying the afternoon sun. Gaston County, NC, USA. Canon T6i. 3/20/2018
a narrow path through the low plants takes you to this secret corner of the gardens at Harkness. Make a wish at the well and then wander the flagstone path to sculptures and botanical beauty...even on a New England first day of spring...
