I'd never tried a dragon fruit (pitaya) before: now I have. And I like it a lot! I will definitely eat them again in future. Beautifully coloured, mysteriously exotic, delicious and nutritious. : )

This first one was a sweet dragon fruit - now I want to try one of the sour kind, though they seem the more difficult variety to locate. : )

I went back to the Wooden Shoe today. This time my wife wanted to come and see the flowers. I think she left with a long list of bulbs that she's going to order.

We were walking down a muddy aisle when I recognized Gregory coming the other direction. He pointed towards the tractor parked in the middle of the field and there was Lynn. We hadn't met in person yet. It was fun to run into them.

The flowers took a beating in the storm and the field was a slippery and muddy mess. I came across this lone flower in the middle of a section. It immediately brought to mind the many first comments I've seen here. It always seems like a prize to be the first to comment on one of the more famous members of our community. I think this flower is kind of feeling that same thing.
