Another route working right through the length of the town as well as the 8 was the Coastal Clipper 1, between Lowestoft and Martham. I thought this was the route which they used the Cabriolet open toppers on, but I didn’t see any, instead just the regular closed top B9TLs. Still, I’m pretty sure the cabrios are the same sort of B9TL Gemini 1s as these, so not like I missed much.

AU58 ECT is a Norfolk bus through and through, being new to the Excel services and now cascaded down to the Clipper. It is seen here at The Conge – whatever one of those is – with a 1 on 19.7.23

I do rather like this livery.

This is Douglas Hyde (in back of car holding top hat), leaving Dublin Castle with a cavalry escort following his inauguration as Ireland's first president. The car has just turned out onto Cork Hill/Dame Street at this point. The president stopped for 2 minutes outside the G.P.O. on O'Connell Street before continuing to his new home at Áras an Uachtaráin (formerly the Vice-Regal Lodge, home of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland) in the Phoenix Park.

Date: Saturday, 25 June 1938

RSD7 #611 works Santa Fe's First Street Yard in downtown Los Angeles on a late afternoon sometime in mid-1968. 611 was one of a small fleet of high-nose RSD's that Santa Fe fielded, with them mostly assigned to the Los Angeles Div. of the Coast Lines. Other odd-balls in the neighborhood were the HH660's and HH1000's. One of my early views via my trusty Kodak Instamatic.
