I just learned how to sew hexagons, and other geometrical shapes. This is just the beginning, I'll be adding more hexagons as soon as I can find some freezer paper.

Ok, here it is, my first blend of two images in CS5. Finally got around to learn the basics. Man, hours spent!! Found a "old" one taken back in november when the light was incredible. Two raw files taken, one for the sky, one for the fg. Each processed in LR3, Tiffs blended in CS5.

Look ok? Feel free to comment, good or bad.

Thanks for looking!

Just a couple of days back I ventured into one of the city's bird sanctuaries wherein I found this herd raging the road. The guys looked confident and ready to face the new day ahead.

One of my favorite things is finding out where used buses came from, thanks sunlight and convenient parking for helping me out.

My first hobble skirt. I must say, I've been wanting to wear one of these for a while and then I get one by accident. I know it's a hobble skirt because I have to take tiny steps when walking in it. I doubt I'll wear it out to my local because it would take me too long to walk there and back.

It is a LTS skirt that I bought off ebay believing it to be a straight skirt with a back vent. Turns out, it was a slit down the front at the side. The photos of it were misleading. So, I got my seamstress to sew the slit up, and hey presto, I had a superb hobble skirt. It takes a bit of getting used to walking around the property in it, but I love it, especially the feel of the hem restricting my attempts to take larger steps in it ;-)

Interesting parking decision, however I can't complain

The fact that an abandoned waterpark like Blub Berlin exists in the middle of Berlin-Neukölln came to us a surprise. We already visited a few abandoned places in Berlin but we never explored anything so easy to enter and close to the city. Supposedly, back in the ’90s, Blub used to be the coolest water park Berlin ever saw but nowadays the place feels more like a weird Mad Max water park than anything else.

For quite a while now I've wanted a Polaroid camera to run some Fuji pack film through. As well as being tough to find, though, the nice ones can be quite pricey. Then something funny happened. While browsing ebay recently I ran across a misspelled ad for a Polaroid camera. I decided to repeat that misspelling in a couple of craigslist searches and...VOILA! I found a grossly underpriced Polaroid 180 that had been listed more than a month back. I assumed that the camera would be long gone but called anyway. To my surprise they still had the camera. We made arrangements to complete the transaction the following day.

The camera was in great condition cosmetically and the shutter seemed to work fine so the deal was sealed. Immediately after purchasing the camera I ran to a local shop that carries Fuji 100c. I got home as quickly as I could hoping to catch a bit of the evenings last light. I gave the camera a cursory cleaning and less than an hour after having made my purchase I had my first image.

I have a few cameras that I really like but I think that I may have a new favorite.
