And it's like the sky is new...for #FireworksFriday. I'm currently working on a fireworks article for MiceChat, and I decided to go back and look at a technique I thought about back in 2015 which blended two different exposures, one long exposure of the fireworks, and one short one of the projections. When I originally tried it, it didn't come out quite the way I had expected. I decided to see what would happen if I used precision masks to mask in the projections, and it worked...kinda. It required a little bit extra work than usual, but it masked the lanterns in much better than I had done by hand.
