I keep saying that my flowers talk to me and that I gladly listen?
This is what I mean, I look at them, turn them, study them, and find that they are like people.
When you are open to it, you will see the sunshine and the rain… the laughter and the tears, they convey a certain emotion, each flower differs.
That is why I love what I do, never tire of it as it fills me with joy and satisfaction.
It is still a daily discovery.
I want that emotion in my images.
A day without 'creation' is a day half lived, yes, I have been an addict for years, and it makes me over the moon happy.
I wish you all the best and thanx for all your kind words, time, comments and likes. Very much appreciated.

Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach in south coast of Iceland. The black sand and stones were remnants of basalt lava that covered most of Iceland at one time. It almost felt otherworldly walking around here. It was wild, rugged and majestic.
A red glass gem next to a cool blue glass ornamental star. Was going to take these separately but when I put them together the colours converged and created this!
HMM! Theme: Glass
Such delight., blowing kisses…
A beautiful opening Rosebud.
A duo-toned Cherry Parfait rose also called 'Fire and Ice', in our garden.
It was, like all flowers: imperfect… I have yet, after thousands of flowers find a 'perfect' one.... just like people? LOLOLOL
Still, it is slowly unfolding and yielding us its beauty and fragrance in the evening...
Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

Fire. Volcanoes. Earthquakes.
Earth Hall.
Natural History Museum. Cromwell Rd., S. Kensington, London.
The abstract photograph was inspired by the poem:
“Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,…”
—Robert Frost (Fire & Ice)
I declare February LOVE, romance and beauty month.
I know grief...
Old enemies we are...
I lost my grand-parents...
I lost my parents...
I lost my only sister...
I lost a son...
I lost my best friend...
yes... I lost many... too many...
But HOPE?
NEVER...
Beauty helps me through a lot, so here is my gift to you.
Two bi-toned Roses, from my Summer garden, called Fire and Ice.
I love the subtle tones, all the varied tones, that give the flower/petals/stems their texture, depth and form, their delectable shapes accentuated, extracted and emphasised without the colour. Don't you agree?

I had a very productive January, I finished two dolls. Now it's time to paint before I jump on to some trades. I have two shows in March and I gotta get on that. More pics to come of this frosty girl soon.
This photograph captures a festive street performance featuring two performers dressed in black outfits adorned with reflective or metallic patterns. One performer is holding a flaming torch, indicating a fire performance. The background includes a sign that reads "oh! CHRISTMAS TREE" and "only tainmen," likely referring to "entertainment." There are also blurred figures and a horse-drawn carriage, suggesting a holiday setting. The scene takes place outdoors, likely in the evening or night, given the dim lighting and presence of streetlights.
The combination of the performers, the fire element, and the festive decorations creates a dynamic and captivating image that showcases the artistry and excitement of holiday street performances.

Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

ALL for LOVE and LOVE for ALL!
From my garden, a rose called appropriately: Fire & Ice.
These duotoned roses are plump and opulent but are non-fragrant.
The weather was mad, raining, thunder and lightning, so in between showers... yep, I rushed out, yep another 'rescue' job, lol.
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thanx for your visit, M, (*_*)

This was my favorite ice sculpture at the Fire and Ice event in downtown Racine last Saturday. The group sponsoring it had an online poll on their facebook post of the event and it appeared to be getting the most votes yesterday.
The stunning contrast between a dark volcanic stone and a smooth piece of glacial ice on diamond beach on the southern coast of Iceland.

More FROM OUR GARDEN.
The Roses in our garden, earlier they just exploded and then the weather turned with stormy wind and rain for about a week, both blooms and buds thrashed, now better weather and they are recovering once more.
Just Joey Rose next to the white climbing spray-Roses, flanked by the Fire and Ice vibrant flower-heads and topped by the fragrant yellow beauties.
So opulent, swaying gently in the breeze and painted in the dappled sunlight.
A paradise for humans, a haven for bees.
The white ones sometimes come out with a 'blush'... but that disappears, fades as they open and 'mature'.
Here together in the studio for your joy.
Thank you, M, (*_*)

This was the only sculpture that was finished when I arrived at the Fire and Ice event in downtown Racine (WI) on Saturday.

A few edits from our trip to Iceland in 2019. At the time I didn't feel like these photos were good enough... I now just want to share this beautiful country with people, regardless if the photos are "good" or not.
one from my garden again. Cherry Parfait also called Fire and Ice, for obvious reasons... LOL
A bi-toned red and white rose behaves quite nicely in the garden. Much more resistant to mildew than most roses, it will bloom in flushes throughout the season, whether the flowers are cut for arrangements or left on the plant.
Like I said, late cold weather, then sudden heat, cool again, wind.... and the flowers grew more "WILD" than ever, few went 'straight'.
This one almost grew upside down, look at that beauty!
Have a wonderful day and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

Who’s been munching away at my Roses?
This rose, once more, from the garden, rained on, blown around, very little sun or warmth now, some still trying very hard and succeeding, to the joy of the insects!
Is called aptly: Fire and Ice, variety Cherry Parfait.
Proof again, that in this part of the world flowers do NOT always need/like HEAT, garden looking better than ever!
Have a lovely day and thanx for your comments, M, (*_*)

A Rose harvest from my garden.
WOW, after a Summer of abundant beauty, the Roses are winding down, yet going out with a bang.
I collected these tree beauties and brought them into the sanctuary that is my studio, the fragrance of "Just Joey' (that is the one in the middle), is heady and the sweetest you can imagine, like the breath after raspberries, LOL
A rose called appropriately: Fire & Ice, and then, the purity of a smaller white Rose, both non-fragrant, just beautiful!
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

From my garden, a rose called appropriately: Fire & Ice.
These duotoned roses are plump and opulent but are non-fragrant.
The weather was HOT HOT HOT, quickly brought one in, it opened so quickly though under the studio-light, where they then also become more red, taking over the white.
Yep, I rushed out, and yep another 'rescue' job, lol.
Roses do not particularly enjoy this heat either, maybe I was a rose in a previous life, HAHA
I will persist and bring beauty EVERY day, amongst all the sadness and madness, this will be my answer!
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thanx for your visit, M, (*_*)

Pics of my latest cake, "Barn Party Mayhem" have been posted. The pigs are dancing, the chicken's feathers are a ruffle, and kitty is trying to steal a bucket of cupcakes, oh my! It's barn party madness at this special third birthday, but the REAL madness is happening in the kitchen at FIRE and ICING! Enjoy!
