"Amor não é se envolver com a pessoa perfeita,
aquela dos nossos sonhos.
Não existem príncipes nem princesas.
Encare a outra pessoa de forma sincera e real, exaltando suas qualidades, mas sabendo também de seus defeitos.
O amor só é lindo, quando encontramos alguém que nos transforme no melhor que podemos ser."

If you only knew Tokyo through my photos, you would think it a dark, grimy industrial place with no light or joy.
It's not that at all, the beauty is just on a different scale, a macro scale, a human scale.
Tokyo, seen with a western eye, an eye that expects consistency painted with a broad brush, is a very ugly city. Architecturally it is a horror, a jumble, a confusion of short-lived trends and bad taste. To see Tokyo from a taxi or a car is a depressing thing. (It might explain Tokyo's love of subways.) Yet when you step out of the train station, adjust your eyes and begin to see the city, er, neighborhood, you start to find the beauty. A haphazard collection of potted plants in the tiny space between the curb and the house wall becomes a garden, if given a tour by the one who planted them.
A pair of slippers in a doorway are rarely kicked off or tossed there, they can be set out, aligned and turned with a deliberate, practiced motion and in this, they become a message, a welcome, words in a language that is done rather than said.

Cotopaxi is a stratovolcano in the Andes Mountains, located about 75 kilometres (50 mi) south of Quito, Ecuador, South America. It is the second highest summit in the country, reaching a height of 5,897 m.
Cotopaxi is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. However, claims that Cotopaxi is the highest active volcano in the world are incorrect. Llullaillaco volcano is considerably higher and is definitely in an active phase, having erupted as recently as 1877. Ojos del Salado is higher still, and there are indications near its summit of recent activity, although its remoteness precludes a definitive statement as to whether it is currently active.
I went for a walk on the Portage Hike and Bike Trail near Kent in search of autumn foliage. Near the crossing of Lake Rockwell Road there was some color next to the tracks of the former Erie Railroad.
A Blue Tang (Paracanthurus hepatus) swimming to the surface in one of the large aquariums at the Academy of Sciences. Thanks to Becky for the great idea of shooting these fish from this spot. It took quite a few shots to get one I liked.

Finding Fuji Part 2, May-July 2022
From my blog:
rangefinderchronicles.blogspot.com/2022/12/finding-fuji-p...
Dressing as her is so addictive ! It started as a bit of fun , afters so much teasing as a boy , ok , I thought , I be a girl ! The moment I tried on a pair of knickers I was smitten , oh how silky soft and seductive they feel amazing , I needed a dress , so bought one on line , it’s a bit too tight , but hey it’s looks and feels so sexy ! A guy at work caught I glimpse of my photos on my computer , silly of me to post them , but I love seeing them during the day . “Wow , is that you “ he asked , oh how I blushed “Err , no it’s err………..” as I stuttered he interrupted me “Please don’t go all coy , you look amazing , would you go on a date” I never ever expected this , but before thinking it through I said yes ! So now we date , it’s taken me time to build up my confidence , but dresses , sheer nylons , high heels and makeup just feel so natural now. Yes and I’ve learnt to walk and act like a girl , I even think I am a girl at times , but , trust me , I still want to be me under the dress , that’s the real thrill , being a boy , but daring as a girl , I think he’s in love with me !
Rocks formations next to the Zapallar Cemetery in the coast of Chile. The location is overwhelming. Extremely worth to visit and let the time flowing looking at the rocks and water structures.

When I first started to post regularly on Flickr, in late 2012, I joined a weekly group (then 52 Weeks of Pix 2012, now in its 2014 incarnation) and "met" the lovely Sue, a.k.a. Blake's Mum www.flickr.com/photos/46534600@N06/ . After striking up an online frienship, and finding out that she doesn't live a million miles away from our family in England, we decided to meet up for coffee last Christmas and so a friendship has been forged that has progressed from virtual to literal, as it were.
Although we're only in England for a very short time Sue and her daughter very kindly met up with us for lunch today - after LG had used her birthday vouchers to indulge in a spot of retail therapy :-)!
An added bonus of our getting to know one another is that our daughters have struck up a friendship that seems to bridge their age difference (which is huge when you're 9 and 15) that I hope will stand the test of time and distance.
PS - it is with Sue that I'm currently attempting to complete a 1-photo-per-week self-set challenge this year - see www.flickr.com/photos/globalnomad01/sets/72157639469308356/ (assuming it works) titled "52 In 52(2014)".
Thank you for any comments and/or favourites - I always appreciate them. Apologies for not being able to reciprocate at the moment. You can also visit me at www.facebook.com/LyndaHPhotography where I'll be posting images of our time in Italy and England.
This was taken on a sea beach. The sky was so clear and millions of stars seen that I could not control myself to take a self-portrait. :D
"Finding Minion"
A spur of the moment idea when my wife's indoor plant was held to place outside for a dose of sunshine. With my daughters' minion collection, got this idea composition. 5 images stacked together due to shallow depth of field using a macro lens. Led flashlight with improvised dark colored folder carton in a cone shape to control the light beam.
This photographwas taken at an altitude of Twenty eight metres, in the magic of the golden hour around sunrise at 04:45am, (Sunrise was at 05:36am), on Tuesday 29th April 2014 in the grounds of Foots Cray Meadows. This frame was taken on the West bank of the River Darent, beside Five Arches Bridge in Bexley, Kent, England.
