From some angles, these two rock formations in Halong Bay, Vietnam can look like two chickens facing each other so they call them the fighting cocks. Unfortunately, cock fighting is still practiced in Vietnam as a betting sport.
these two guys (?gals) were fighting and pawing each other to glory on their mama's back.Couldn't avoid the blur...
I recommend to view on large (press L button).
At the end of the day, if you decide not to face your fears, you will become your fears.
I'm back, and finally cleaned up. Had a blast, and I'm still digesting it all... a fantastic experience. More to come...
AKA: Mortal Fighter vs. Street Kombat!
Twenty first build in my Iron Builder samurai showdown with Kyubi.
Special ingredient is some sort of micro ball joint combo breaker.
Four Raccoons Forty feet up a tree, and fighting like you wouldn't believe. The fight was well underway before we arrived, and was noisy enough to wake residents. I have no idea what it was about, but we were rooting for the underdog...the one clinging on to the bottom end of a drooping Douglas Fir branch.
They would break from fighting for a bit, then the instigator (the one up top), would come back and start it all over again. On two occasions, large tree branches broke away and our hearts were in our mouth, so to speak. We weren't sure if the Raccoon had fallen. But each time we double checked,
it was still clinging on for dear life...(Sidney, BC).

Hope everyone had a wonderful Veteran’s Day…. We owe our troops, past and present so very much. We don’t thank them enough.
Kevan shot this photo earlier this year of two Tricolored Herons in breeding plumage having a territorial fight, most likely for nesting space. These scrimmages happen very quickly and not only is it hard to get one in the frame, it‘s even harder to get them both in the frame and in focus!

Actually this isn't a fight, but a typical feeding process, once the babies become as big as the parents. It's a wonder the two Snowy Egrets survive this dangerous time, feeding !
Fighting and playing is the way to prepare for the life as a grown up :-)
And the girl is, of course, on top here.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.
