As I waited for the fog to clear somewhat for another photo, I saw this silver birch tree behind me. Love how it's given itself a fighting chance to grab some sunlight from underneath the canopy of pine trees. I guess I'm rooting for it (pun well and truly intended).
I went through 2.5 litres of sunflower hearts today.
Space on my two seed feeders was at a premium and squabbles were frequent.
The smaller Siskin was the aggressor but the Brambling wouldn't be bullied.
Just 30 minutes in the hide today but it was action packed :)

Shooting the sunset, charmed by it, I got attacked by two seagulls. Turns out, their little one was right behind me. Luckily, no one was harmed.

It is always nice to see a bit of action and we enjoyed watching these Springbok test their fighting skills. With a twist of the head, the tip of the horn could be placed in that crucial place and then his whole weight thrown into it.

One of the last airworthy QF-4E Full-Scale Aerial Targets in the US Air Force inventory on the ramp at Holloman AFB the evening before the final fight of F-4 Phantoms in US military service.
I was advised quickly by some loyal contacts that there was some kind of marks on my upload yesterday. I never did see what you did and have no idea what caused whatever it was. Thus, I deleted it. But I thank you all for pointing it out. As you know, I am anything but a photographer and certainly not a technocrat on any level. I've never even had a cell phone. So the chances of me discovering what may have caused the problem are nil. Too bad, because I liked the photo and apologize for the deletion to those of you who commented and faved. However, it was obviously not what I thought it was.
To test as to whether this is a permanent flaw in some part of my process, I've uploaded a SOOC photo of Star and myself approaching the shore in a rowboat on the lake in the rain. Please let me know if you see anything which would lead you to believe the contrary. Remember this is absolutely SOOC. I appreciate your continued observations.
