The Kfir-C2, introduced in service with the Israeli Air and Space Force in 1976 after a first flight in 1974. The C2 variant was a developed version of the Kfir-C1 designed to keep the type viable against all conceivable threats well into the 1990s. The result is a warplane with formidable combat capabilities plus short-field performance thanks to the sustained maneuverability and control effectiveness resulting from the aerodynamic developments. Airborne Tactical Advantage Company uses this fighter as an aggressor aircraft for simulated combat against US aircraft and ships.

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company began flight operations in 1997 providing outsourced military training and flight test for the US Navy under the Commercial Air Services (CAS) contract as a subcontractor, one of the world leaders of outsourced military airborne training using business jets and propeller aircraft. To date, ATAC has performed flight operations for the US Navy, US Air Force and Air National Guard in the air-to-ship, air-to-air and research & development capacities. ATAC currently operates six F-21 Kfirs and two F-35 Draken fighters.

ATAC aircraft are certified to carry TACTS/ACMI or LATR GPS tracking pods, AST-6 threat simulators and multiple ALQ-167 Jamming pods. ATAC is experienced in the area of Air-to-Air Electronic Attack using multiple ALQ-167 Jamming pod configurations with ACMI/TACTS GPS tracking pods, executing single, dual, and multiple aircraft engagements with tactical maneuvering and supersonic speed capability for dedicated Electronic Attack bandit or Force Multiplier roles. ATAC’s experience also includes Air-To-Sea Threat Simulation using AST-6 threat simulators and LATR/EATS GPS tracking pods, and low-level and ballistic supersonic threat presentations with single or multiple aircraft presentations.

In addition to providing military flight support, ATAC has provided commercial flight services and RTD&E support including test programs such as:

• Ship Self-Defense System Test

• RAM-TSS Test

• ALE-55 Towed Decoy Evaluation

703, RSAF Tornado showing its arse to me after yet another trip over to EGNO, only for me unable to see it fly! Hopefully I'll catch it fly before it returns to the land of sand.

We were given a tour of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam when two F-22 Raptor fighter jets took off to escort a possible hijacked airliner near Hawaii.

I photographed this un-restored F-84F Thunderstreak at the North Carolina Aviation Museum in Asheboro. It is interesting to note that the faded markings are those of Strategic Air Command . I am researching the history of this airplane and will post the results as soon as possible.

The swept-wing F-84F evolved from the straight-wing F-84. The prototype first flew on June 3, 1950, and deliveries began in 1954, primarily to the Tactical Air Command as a ground support fighter bomber. The F-84F was also used by Strategic Air Command as a long range fighter escort for Boeing B-50 Superfortress and Convair B-36 Peacemaker bombers. Republic built 2,112 F-84Fs while General Motors fabricated an additional 599. Of these, 1,301 were delivered to NATO air forces. F-84Fs gradually were replaced by supersonic F-100s in the late 1950s and were turned over to Air National Guard units; however, some F-84Fs were called back to temporary USAF service in the early 1960s due to the Berlin Crisis.

NAS Jacksonville FL 2018

F16 Fighter Jet and a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk

Those are real planes and real sky. Just a few tweaks to color and contrast, nothing is photo shopped.

An XP-80A flies over the Mojave Desert circa 1944. This historic Lockheed airplane was designed and built from drawing board to takeoff in just 143 days. Flying higher and faster than any airplane in the world, the Shooting Star was assigned to military units in Okinawa, Germany, Alaska, the Panama Canal Zone, Japan, and in the United States. The Shooting Star was the first jet plane produced in quantity.

A close up view of the Gripen- a Swedish made fighter jet. I am not quite familiar with the fighter jet that much, but I think this is a beautiful aircraft.
