Back to April 2012 at Hyakuri Air Force Base in Japan, during a time of increased tension with North Korea due to their missile testing. Consequently, when the usual military runway was already in use, some recoveries were made on the other runway usually reserved for traffic on the civil airport side of the airfield. So, 'right place, right time' as JASDF F-4EJ Phantom 37-8320 from the based 302 Hikotai recovers from a sortie and deploys its brake chute.

The latest moc is one of my first military builds in my time as an AFOL. This build was inspired by the new Lego element 49307, which is a 1x1 modified brick with a curved top. I used it to edge the wings and I think it was a perfect application for that.

Hill Air Force Base, Utah, United States

A twin-seat supermaneuverable multi-role fighter jet, the Sukhoi SU-30SM features forward canards and 3D thrust vectoring engines along with a suite of avionics and airframe upgrades. The build contains 3378 pieces with custom tiles for decals on the airframe. It features folding landing gear, moving elevators, detailed twin-cockpits, and many small details to make the jet as close to the real one as possible. Special thanks to Admiral_Plackbar for advice and refinement on the build, check him out as well!

A pair of F-15s were making some rounds at the local airbase. I managed to get a few shots as they screamed over my house at low altitude. Not sure which version F-15 but my guess is F-15E. This led to the turkey photos....
