While visiting Calshot Castle, we saw a plaque honoring Lt. Kinkead, who died trying to break a speed record in the sky above the castle in 1928. Noting that he was buried in nearby Fawley, I searched for and found his grave..
In the Second World War, Bentley Priory was the headquarters of RAF Fighter Command, and it remained in RAF hands in various roles until 2008.

Once held as one of the greatest martial artists in the world the man known as Kain has now turned away from the world of fighting. During his last championship tournament he reached the finals match only to be paired against the only man he ever considered a true friend. This man desperate to show Kain that he had finally surpassed him came at him with everything he had forcing Kain to fight with all his strength and skill. The fight seemed to last forever with both men at their limits but Kain's anger at what he thought of a betrayal from his friend could not convince him to stop as he soon ended the fight with a decisive punch to the chest so hard that it shattered his friend's ribs and ruptured his heart killing him almost instantly. After realizing what he had done Kain left the arena for good. He had taken the life of the only man he ever cared about and now was now lost. He now wanders from place to place in hopes of one day finding peace with himself as he seeks to atone for the life he took by making sure he never raises his fists in anger again.
I loved this plane, it's just so cool. All shiny, with a bright red nose, just imagine flying that baby around. =p
The Ultimate Fighters debut airshow season was 2019. The mixed warbird 4-ship team fly a P-47, P-51, Spitfire & Buchon. Based at Sywell and operated as part of the Richard Grace / Air Leasing / Ultimate Warbirds organisation, they are seen here on the day they achieved their Public Display Authorisation (PDA) - 23/5/19

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 (VMFA-232) is a United States Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet squadron. Nicknamed the "Red Devils", the squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California and fall under the command of Marine Aircraft Group 11 (MAG-11) and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (3rd MAW). The squadron is also attached to Carrier Air Wing 11 and deploys with them onboard the USS Nimitz. The Red Devils are the oldest and most decorated fighter squadron in the Marine Corps.
I saw this cruising down a street in Arlington Sunday night... not something you see every day. I think it is an F-35... anybody know why they would be moving it this way and in this area?
