heavy aromored star fighter used by an Hive like warrior race. Crafted from a bone like material.
only VV this year.
Based on medieval helmet. There is a light brick inside the cockpit but the picture did not convey the glow from the slits. I'll try and fix that when I have time. :)
The USMF's elite pilots (those given the rank of Paladin) are a tough breed whose exploits are well known across the galaxy. Though qualified on a wide array of different craft (including ones not used by the USMF) most Paladins operate solo or in small groups; often great distances from allied bases or capital ships and thus have found great use in one-man fighter craft with FTL capability.
Miniaturizing FTL jump drives is a complex and costly process, but the benefits of a faster-than-light starfighter are numerous. For years, the USMF Paladins utilized the AX-20 "Katana" in this role. While a sturdy and fast ship, the Katana's production foundry was completely destroyed in the beginning stages of the Dimension Wars, and as such, it's service numbers dwindled further from the already small amount (in comparison to non-FTL fighters in the fleet).
Starcom Solution's answered the call for a "faster-than-light jack of all trades" by introducing the "Tekkan" (a name of Japanese origin inspired by its spiritual predecessor "Katana"). Starcom Solutions, living up to it's name, conquered the complex issue of small FTL jump drives with a unique solution; the drive systems were built at the capital ship shipyards on Saturn and then shipped to Neptune where quantum technology was used to shrink the units down to a smaller size.
Impressed by the originality of Starcom Solutions' engineering prowess, the USMF quickly requested a Tekkan for immediate trial runs. The first Tekkan produced (which was painted red with white markings as tribute to the Katana) passed its tests with flying colors (no pun intended) and was assigned to Paladin Kira Janus.
The Tekkan features twin heavy repeating lasers (much like those found on Hyperius Industries' "Scorpion"-class heavy fighter) and twin "Mjölnir"-type lightning cannons, which fire thunderous bolts of energy across great distances. These weapons pack quite the punch and require no ammunition, but require a great amount of charge time. If safety protocols are bypassed, the capacitor banks can overcharge and result in a devastating chain reaction.
No instructions planned for this one but I felt it has some techniques worth sharing - Enjoy!

This is the only surviving photographic image of a "Dingo" fighter - the famed aircraft cobbled-together from limited supplies in the face of Imperial blockade during the First Antipodean War.

A fun little build. A Fredoichi-inspired fighter with Don Solo's Neo-Ice Planet color scheme.
Enjoy!
Armed with a single particle accelerator cannon and two ultra high velocity railguns, the Delta-class heavy interceptor is capable of engaging even much larger spacecraft with a fair chance of success. It is not, however, capable of dogfighting, so it can get into serious trouble against smaller, more maneuverable fighters.
My contribution to round 4 of the Starfighter Telephone Game, team A Blast from the Past. I changed the role from bomber to fighter, but it's supposed to be a rather heavy, clumsy one to leave room for further evolution of the design. Speaking of design, I tried to integrate a couple of ideas from Adrian's bomber. I think this has improved the overall look compared to the WIP version I posted previously.

Originally started as a commissioned build for BrickVault, but ended up being a complete redesign of an older MOC. The model is scaled up to fit a minifig inside and still have that spherical-ish design of older 2014 design.
In addition, I have created instructions available at BrickVault: www.youtube.com/watch?v=webxi_LxdIA

The iconic silhouette of the X-wing fighter is something we recognize immediately, it is an astonishing little fighter. When the wings, or "s-foils", opened in Star Wars for the first time, we knew they meant business.
I was profoundly delighted when I saw the new X-wing fighter from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is a beautiful update to the original design. I call the new fighter "Stiletto" because of how the wings open. It looks mean!
A little over a year ago I made some Star Wars spaceship posters (album here), some with Lego, some with scale models. I added two more Lego posters to the series a few days ago. I add another one to the lot.
With this new one I am definitively stepping away from the strict top view design. The Lego X-wing has many gaps looking at it from the top, I wanted to see if another angle would be more interesting. I tried an old image from March 2013 and it looked good enough so I just kept that.
Redesigned version of the Republic Fighter Tank. More organic looking, beefier engines for speed, better cockpit visibility. I've kept the épée parts as antennas from set 75342 but angled them back. More pictures to follow.

VL-400 Quimera
The Vila Disparador VL-400 “Quimera” is a single-seat, single-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet multi-role strike fighter originally developed for the Imperial Lego Air Force to replace the Freelancer fighter/interceptor. Fast, agile and extremely maneuverable, the Quimera was also operated by the Imperial Lego Naval Aviation, usually from the 130 000 tons Imperial Aircraft carriers.
The plane is considered today the very first “Strike Fighter” operated by the Lego nation, the project evolving from a high-speed interceptor into a fully multi-role capable (for both ground attack and air-to-air missions) fighter.
Featuring the highly advanced R-323 long-range radar, the Quimera was the first plane to employ the Fire-Dragon Air-to-air missile in combat and for many years was also the only fighter capable of firing 4 individual missiles against four different targets at the same time.
The Quimera nine weapons stations (including a small internal bomb bay) had a capacity for up to 8500kg of various weapons, including ground attack guided and unguided missiles or bombs, rockets, air-to-air missiles and other stores. Two 30mm ENA-60 auto-cannons are also carried on the sides of the frontal landing gear.
Despite the dimensions and heavy weight of the fighter, the very powerful V-475 jet engine and the variable geometry wings allows it to achieve a maximum speed of Mach 2.7, with four Firedragon missiles under the fuselage. To help maintain the control at those very high speeds, two movable fins deploy under the fuselage once the plane retracts his wings.
As soon as the Quimera entered service, it started to replace the older but still highly effective “Freelancer” fighter. Pilots found the new aircraft as docile as the previous one, thanks to the new wings and the advanced avionics. Before the Quimera, to perform a certain special role (like Wild Weasel), it was necessary to build a completely new plane for that role or to modify extensively an existing one. The VL-400 was the first multi-role plane, being capable of perform different missions without extensive modifications. On that role, it survived until the VL-27 Flanker fighter appeared.

All the rebel ships flying around in my photostream need something to shoot at ;) So here’s some target practice!
The imperial TIE fighter is such an iconic ship of Star Wars I just had to recreate it (that and the fact I wanted to play out some dog fights with my X-wing ;). I’ve had the shell of the craft built for a while now, but only recently got around to creating a proper interior. I’m not overly happy with how the interior turned out but at least this thing is finished now :D The model features an opening top hatch, enough room to comfortably fit a minifigure and a rear window.
With the vast number of Lego TIE mocs out there I doubt my design is totally original but I made a great deal of effort to work through my own solutions to design issues I encountered and to avoid just coping others. As such I’m happy to call this ‘my’ TIE fighter ;)
As ever, comments (both positive and polite negatives) are very welcome :D
EDIT: I've done an LDD model of the whole TIE which can be downloaded here: www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?s=5332f76633d4d6115c4e...
The Warp Wing Fighter is a set (6915) from the UFO theme released in 1997. I always thought it looks remotely like an X-wing from the Star Wars Universe. The ‘Redesign a set’ competition on Dutch LEGO User Group Lowlug is the perfect opportunity to build a new Warp Wing Fighter with working X-wing’s S-foils.
My attempted remake of my original Space Fighter. And it looked kinda like a manta ray while it was rendering so I called it that. Comments appreciated!

A fighter is guarding the main road between Saigon and Phnom Penh
This is my version of the Mining TIE Fighters from Star Wars Rebels. This variation of the TIE Fighter has always appealed to me because of it's more industrial look and unique shape which made this a fun challenge for sure.
This build has space for 1 minifigure, has 2 spring-loaded missiles and uses a lot of elements from my other TIE Fighters and Intercepters, but with a yellow color scheme.
The solar-panels were made by modifing the standard TIE panels allong with details featured on my TIE Interceptor model. As an added detail, this build features the Guild's symbol along with some caution stripes.
This is a rendered LDD photo of the KAI fighter from the Lego set 70721 slightly modified and in black.

The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries during and after the Second World War. The Spitfire was built in many variants, using several wing configurations, and was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft. It was also the only British fighter to be in continuous production throughout the war. The Spitfire continues to be a popular aircraft, with approximately 53 Spitfires being airworthy, while many more are static exhibits in aviation museums all over the world. The Spitfire was designed as a short-range, high-performance interceptor aircraft by R. J. Mitchell, chief designer at Supermarine Aviation Works (which operated as a subsidiary of Vickers-Armstrong from 1928). In accordance with its role as an interceptor, Mitchell designed the Spitfire's distinctive elliptical wing to have the thinnest possible cross-section; this thin wing enabled the Spitfire to have a higher top speed than several contemporary fighters, including the Hawker Hurricane. Mitchell continued to refine the design until his death from cancer in 1937, whereupon his colleague Joseph Smith took over as chief designer, overseeing the development of the Spitfire through its multitude of variants. During the Battle of Britain (July–October 1940), the Spitfire was perceived by the public to be the RAF fighter, though the more numerous Hawker Hurricane shouldered a greater proportion of the burden against the Luftwaffe. However, because of its higher performance, Spitfire units had a lower attrition rate and a higher victory-to-loss ratio than those flying Hurricanes. After the Battle of Britain, the Spitfire superseded the Hurricane to become the backbone of RAF Fighter Command, and saw action in the European, Mediterranean, Pacific and the South-East Asian theatres. Much loved by its pilots, the Spitfire served in several roles, including interceptor, photo-reconnaissance, fighter-bomber and trainer, and it continued to serve in these roles until the 1950s. The Seafire was a carrier-based adaptation of the Spitfire which served in the Fleet Air Arm from 1942 through to the mid-1950s. Although the original airframe was designed to be powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine producing 1,030 hp (768 kW), it was strong enough and adaptable enough to use increasingly powerful Merlin and, in later marks, Rolls-Royce Griffon engines producing up to 2,340 hp (1,745 kW); as a consequence of this the Spitfire's performance and capabilities improved, sometimes dramatically, over the course of its life. R. J. Mitchell's 1931 design to meet Air Ministry specification F7/30 for a new and modern fighter capable of 250 mph (400 km/h), the Supermarine Type 224, was an open-cockpit monoplane with bulky gull-wings and a large fixed, spatted undercarriage powered by the 600 horsepower (450 kW) evaporatively cooled Rolls-Royce Goshawk engine. This made its first flight in February 1934. The Type 224 was a big disappointment to Mitchell and his design team, who immediately embarked on a series of "cleaned-up" designs, using their experience with the Schneider Trophy seaplanes as a starting point. Of the seven designs tendered to F7/30, the Gloster Gladiator biplane was accepted for service. Mitchell had already begun working on a new aircraft, designated Type 300, with a retractable undercarriage and the wingspan reduced by 6 ft (1.8 m). This was submitted to the Air Ministry in July 1934, but was not accepted. The design then went through a series of changes, including the incorporation of a faired, enclosed cockpit, oxygen-breathing apparatus, smaller and thinner wings, and the newly developed, more powerful Rolls-Royce PV-XII V-12 engine, later named the "Merlin". In November 1934 Mitchell, with the backing of Supermarine's owner, Vickers-Armstrong, started detailed design work on this refined version of the Type 300 and, on 1 December 1934, the Air Ministry issued contract AM 361140/34, providing £10,000 for the construction of Mitchell's improved F7/30 design. On 3 January 1935, the Air Ministry formalised the contract and a new specification, F10/35, was written around the aircraft.

Well, this was my next entry into FBTB Steam Wars competition, but unfortunately I was eliminated.
My thoughts in making this was one, what Star Wars CIS fighter would look good as Steampunk (and hadn't been done before)? And two, how could I spin it to be different then the normal grey/gold/brown. So I decided to go with traditional steam engines, but with a fighter jet camouflage scheme.
The Fokker Dr.1 (Dreidecker, ”triplane” in German), often known simply as the Fokker Triplane, was a World War 1 fighter aircraft built by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. The Dr.1 saw widespread service in the spring of 1918. It became famous as the aircraft in which Manfred von Richthofen gained his last 19 victories, and in which he was killed on 21April 1918.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The Fokker Dr.1 is a must in any collection of WW1 aircraft models, so it has been on my to-doo list for a long time. I did hesitate building one because there are so many brilliant models out there, and I did look at all the models out there, but this is completely my own design. It follows the same design characteristics as with my other WW1 models, such as engine cowling, wings and landing-gear. There is one key design feature of the Fokker Dr.1 I didn`t manage to recreate, the engine cowling ”face” with the two ”eyes” are missing. I couldn`t find a way to do it, so until I find a way it will be without ”eyes”.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
...Scientists were not able to give a distinctive explanation of this phenomenon. It is known that appearance of Delleh's mirages is spontaneous and depends neither on a specific geographical position, nor on the day part.
It should be mentioned that the possibility of appearance is stronger in sparsely populated regions, on abandoned territories and wastes. However, cases of mirages in densely populated areas were recorded as well...

I was coming back to this place again and again trying to capture a new phantom. I had a long time wandering through the Buninskaya valley on the outskirts of Moscow.
I felt I will be lucky that day and kept searching systematically, trying not to pay attention to the bitter cold.
Delleh's Mirage appeared around 2 pm when I was already chilled to the bone.
This time it was a flying warship. I think if the fighter could be real, its repulsor system or something like had been damaged, and the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing...
Despite severe frost in that late night it was still possible to encounter people in the streets. The shot was made a moment before on the road next to the ravine exactly opposite the spot where I stood appeared half-drunk hobo pushing a stolen from the nearest supermarket trolley filled with unremarkable stuff. When he saw me he shouted in a characteristic hoarse manner: "Uuh! Wut are you.. shoo..ting here!?" Apparently, he decided the photographer had been waiting to take a picture of him. But I just silently pointed at the bottom of the ravine. He came closer and looked down. Phantom gradually dissolved in the frosty air. I bet I heard him cursing the booze he had been drinking ...
