A Canadian Air Forces BAE CT-155 Hawk fighter training aircraft is seen Friday, Aug. 2, 2014 at Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport in Sitka, Alaska with Mount Edgecumbe volcano in the background. According to a database of Canadian aircraft, this plane is assigned to the NATO Flying Training in Canada program at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Canadian aircraft occasionally use Sitka as a refueling destination.

Switchblade Creative Studios Inc. helped send three amateur Mixed Martial Arts fighters to their first bout last month in Grants, New Mexico.
From the Battle of North Point reenactment yesterday. On September 12, 1814, a battle between General John Stricker's Maryland Militia and a British force led by Major General Robert Ross. Although tactically a British victory, the battle delayed the British advance against Baltimore, buying valuable time for the defense of the city. The engagement was a part of the larger Battle of Baltimore, a strategic American victory in the War of 1812.
When I was in primary school, screenings of Star Wars movies after the exams was a regular feature. It kept us occupied while the teachers were busy with the marking. Over the 6 years, I must have watched Episodes IV, V, VI at least twice each. I have always wondered who that mystery Star Wars-obsessed teacher was, and if he knew that he was grooming the next generation of Star Wars fans.
The Art of Star Wars exhibition made its way to the Singapore Science Centre earlier this year. Unlike most exhibitions, photography was allowed but no flash. I got my picture taken with Darth Vader *lol*, but no, you'll never see it online.

my favorite model kit was the Lindberg Wildcat......seen that old Movie "Wake Island" alot by the time I was10 years old and I started collecting models...it was a nice small and simple kit that made my mothers coffee table the flight deck of some jeep carrier....
