First flew 1939 with the second protoype in 1940, this was the precurser to the famous Typhoon. With the fall of France in 1940 and Britians need for immediate front line fighters the Tornado's development was put on hold whilst Hawker concentrated their efforts on producing existing designs (Hurricane). Racked with design problems (Vulture engines) the project was eventually abandoned.
while waiting for the models we had quick shoot with friend Marc, who happens to be a MMA fighter, photographer, and magician.

Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation's CA-27 Sabre, sometimes known as the Avon Sabre or CA-27, is an Australian-made version of the North American Aviation F-86F Sabre jet fighter.
This particular aircraft, RAAF registration A94-901, was the first CA-27 Sabre to enter service in July 1954, although it was actually the second built after the prototype.
It is on display at the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society museum at Illawarra Regional Airport, Albion Park, near Wollongong south of Sydney.

Here's this crazy thing from the bottom. Heavy missile racks, snot contouring, folding landing gear - it's got all the right ingredients. So why is it so awful.

Another possible entry into the contest, this is my favortie color scheme. I'll have two more fighters to post.
How I spent most of my Saturday. I wanted to build a minifig-scale air/space fighter that was as small as possible while still looking "fly-able". The wings fold over the top for an even smaller profile. Gonna finish the cockpit and play around with different colors as soon as a couple Bricklink orders come in. Hopefully, I'll be using several of these little guys in a larger upcoming project. Hint: carrier.
