This was a WIP forever that was originally intended for Peter's Assymetrical Fighter challange. It was gonna be much wider and much assymetricaller. But the big gun I was gonna add didn't really play out, and I was getting tired of letting it languish, so I sold out and went symmetrical on it. I wanted to use a wider variety of purple parts, but it didn't really flow.
I really like the engine pods, but on the whole the ship is pretty bland from the front.

This is my virtual LEGO rendition of a Human Fighter from my LEGO Fantasy Adventure World. The fighter is a highly-trained professional combatant who is experienced with various tactical maneuvers and weapons forms.
* As usual, the program I used to build this is LeoCAD. I then converted it to an .ldr file and rendered it with LDView. I got this Lego Monster Fighters set because of a resemblance to the PSYCHO house. At the same time I found minifigs.me were making this Norman Bates customised minifgure!

The Republic F-105 Thunderchief, was a supersonic fighter-bomber used by the United States Air Force. The Mach 2 capable F-105 bore the brunt of strike bombing over North Vietnam during the early years of the Vietnam War, and has the dubious distinction of being the only US aircraft to have ever been removed from combat due to high attrition rates. Kristiansand Airport Kjevik (KRS) on March 22, 2012. Royal Norwegian Air Force Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter "902" (cn 67-14902/N7065). This beauty was last used by No. 336 Squadron (With a swallow emblem on the tail). The aircraft arrived on two trailers to Kjevik in January 2012. Here it will be used as an instructional airframe by Luftforsvarets Skolesenter Kjevik (The Air Force School Center Kjevik) and Universitet i Agder (The University of Agder). Note that the colour on the aircraft is to a certain degree a reflection of the light inside the hangar. Many thanks to the school center for their kind permission to take this photo.
Chiroptera - just a generic little ship, all in old gray. I think it looks kind of like a bat from certain angles, the vertical fins are like big bat ears or something. Chiroptera is the scientific name for bats.
The Curtis P-40 "Warhawk" first appeared in 1937 and it was the only U.S. fighter available in quantity at the beginning of WWII. The P-40 with it's nose decoration was made famous by the "Flying Tigers" under Gen. Claire Chennault who flew for the Chinese government in 1942
