Another photograph from my recent visit to a sunflower farm - the last one, I promise! I cropped the original photograph to remove the horizon and sky as I felt having nothing but sunflowers gave it more impact. I could be wrong - I often am!

Well, it's Friday so here's another fence. Have a great weekend

Westkilbride . North Ayrshire .

Seen on a walk around my neighborhood in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania.

This is a re-edited photo of a heart-shaped tree that we found in france, all alone in a field of wheat and the first flowers of the canola. Moving through France it was difficult to stay for the "right light" - so i waited until the sun was shining on this tree before taking this photo against the dark clouds before moving on to Burgundy. It was really nice watching the wheat sway in the breeze, which you can see in the foreground of this photo.

Of all the edits/crops of this place this is the first time I feel like there is some potential in this photo.

Die Getreidefelder färben sich allmählich golden.

The grain fields are gradually turning golden.

This was one of those evenings where there was mist and fog around. I was hoping for a nice clear sunset but it all turned a bit muddy. I suppose on the plus side, it gave some interest in the sky. The sun glowed orange as it set behind a bank of fog. Shot vertical to include some of the blue sky above the fog. 3 bracketed shots taken on a tripod for this. Merged in CS6. You could say this shot has that painterly feel to it.

Just a quick image....

Will be largely away from the computer for the next several days, but when I return...Oh, the images I'll have to play with and share!!

Textures by Kim Klassen, Distressed Jewell, and Lenabem-Anna. Thank you, ladies!

Taken this summer, developed last week. Seemed like an appropriate time to post this one.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep,

though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.
