Out and about with Connie and Yoshi

Playing fetch with dogs in the park. This photo was taken by Denton Harryman and posted at GreenvilleDailyPhoto.com on 3/12/2010.

When I reflect on this scene I realize I missed what I really wanted to share .. as Connie and I were walking through Falls Park, we noticed several kids taking photos to these dogs playing fetch in the Reedy River. Being a kid myself I brought by DSLR lens to task. However, what I really should have done is captured the kids taking the photos. Because, that is the memory which has stayed with me (smile).

Last weekend I took care of three little boys: Will, Jack and Harry. It was quite an experience, getting them to baseball games, birthday parties and play dates all weekend via the family minivan. On Sunday we relaxed in the beautiful weather at waterfront park.

build for a fancy new dog store in Roncy, this unit is actually two seperate units, one atop of the other. The bottom unit is made from reclaimed doors. The back is pressed ceiling tiles and is purpose built without doors for easy access (as it is a store). The top is similarly built but is tall and contains three shelves made from the back of a church pew.

I dig it the most

Tobey will play fetch with pretty much anything; in this case, a half-deflated football.

Dan should have known better than to try to take a stick from a boxer. He won't let go until he's ready for you to have it.

She loves the water.

Walking along Cannon Beach during Spring Vacation, we encountered this very cute dog playing fetch with his owner. He was such a photogenic character that I stopped to take some pictures, and amazingly, he stood and posed for me -- then proceeded to trot right up to me, standing patiently while I petted him! His owner laughed and said that I brought it on myself by kneeling down to his level for the photo -- he was actually a trained companion dog who worked with people in nursing homes. With the owner's permission, we all played fetch with him for a while before moving on down the beach with memories of a new friend.

Took a few shots to get this one right, the right mix of shutter speed to show lots of motion but then pan with him fast enough to get his head and body still.

I can't make this up. Diving-fetching dog at Barton Springs-Austin, Texas. Dog would dive down and retrieve rocks thrown by it's owner. He would bring it up and carry it to a pile of rocks in the middle of the river.
