Z, my dog, is in the middle somewhere. Heading out to retrieve a stick, his favourite past-time.
16th January 2007
I decided to see what was like if I were to take a long exposure for playing fetch with my girlfriends dog with a glow in the dark kind of light above. And this is a photo that I got.
I was asked to design this for a local Art night fundraiser for Fetch for a Cure (they help older dogs who have cancer)
The oval pieces are made from PMC (precious metal clay - .999 fine silver once fired in my kiln) and the chain is sterling silver.
RMC Tokina 35-70mm 3.5 M42 mount manual focus lens. I didn't notice until I downloaded this photo that I'd taken it just as my son snapped the stick in half, but you can see the sawdust from the break hanging in the air.
I took a burst of shots of the dog in the middle of the picture, and accidentally caught a game of fetch.
You can see the dotted lines as the collie in the foreground follows the bright orange ball through the air.
What a dog party!
