Cleo is 10, and she has arthritis and bad hips. She runs two miles with me in the morning, and she's a crazed ball chaser. She hobbles after these balls, and my heart breaks for her. It's clear she's in pain, but she won't stop chasing them and barks incessantly if you don't throw for her.
Sometimes dogs chase stuff that is way to big for them to catch. My question is always, what will they do when they get it? My tiny little dog used to chase / bark at birds that were much bigger than he was. It was funny.
The man at the top left had two dogs with him - a black labrador type dog and a black dachshund.
He kept throwing something down the hill and the labrador would go and fetch it. Then he'd throw it again and the labrador would look at him and say "What did you do that for? I only just fetched that?"
Can't see where the dachshund is on this, but I would love to know how many tiny dachshund steps it takes to climb the Wrekin. :o)
