We stopped at the car boot sale. There was a duck. Wasn’t for sale, just there shopping.
Thats really nice thing, started taking care of birds and feeding. have seen few people who come daily and feed the birds. Seems this boy started in early age understands the happiness in it.

Every 90 minutes. 24 hours a day. What a long night it was! We took shifts, but still exhausting. They seem to be thriving, though. The first three days are critical. If they make it until then, they should be good to go. I think they are both girls. (at least I couldn't find any dangly bits on either one) (I'm not sure I've ever seen pig dangly boy parts, though.)
We have a whole pile of errands planned for today, and a birthday party a couple of hours away and I think I'm just going to put them in a pet carrier and take them with. If we don't go, we won't be able to pick up a temporary shelter for the horses, which we really need.
Pine nuts are their favorite.
The last several times I've been up here, I didn't see any chickadees at the top on the ridge. But I always find them down here near the northern base of the ridge. If you hear them you stop walking and look around and if you see a few you reach for the pine nuts and almost the moment the nuts come out the chickadees are mobbing you.
They really don't get along with each other. It is rare for more than one of them to share my hand.

For many years a pair of dolphins, mother and son, would visit Tin Can Bay to be fed at high tide. We bought a bucket of feed at the local shop. We were the only ones there for a while. It is now regulated by the Qld Government.
