Adult dipper very busy feeding its bruiser of a chick. I have a shot of the food actually going in but it obscures the chick, I would have had very wet feet to get the right angle!
Many thanks to all who comment, fave or just enjoy looking, it really is very much appreciated!
Pelican feeding on Kangaroo Island. An older shot but the selected motion blur came into my head this morning.
The white rhinoceros or square-lipped rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum) is the largest extant species of rhinoceros. It has a wide mouth used for grazing and is the most social of all rhino species.
Despite its name the white rhino is not actually white at all, its skin is grey in colour.
The white rhino is a grazer and can often be found grazing on grass in the open plains. They need to feed on a daily basis but can survive for 4 to 5 days without water.
Populations of white rhino have recovered from an all time low of around 100 in 1895 to the current wild population of around 20,170. However, an increase in rhino poaching since 2008 is once again threatening the total population.
Photographed on a late evening game drive in the open savannah plains of Africa.
Male Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) shoving food into his baby. Yesterday was the first time the kids came down out of the tall trees.
So far, I've only seen two of the four babies that fledged a week ago. Hopefully the other two are just hanging back.
Dry meal worms, BTW

The final duck picture from yesterday. Again I like to stress I don't blame ASDA supermarket for this and hopefully it will be removed from the stream near St Marys Church Hitchin.
SE Alaska, 8 Humpback whales bubble net feeding. After they dive you never know exactly where to point the camera despite them producing a bubble net, often they were much further away than expected on surfacing.
