I have to commend the Mother Starling. She must have a lot of stamina. Her babies are extremely aggressive feeders.
A mix of gulls rushing to feed on a school of fish passing by. That was a return after 10 years and it turned out to be an even better spot. It is still not busy by beachcombers and dog walkers. Heaven for the birds. Hope this location will stay like this for a very long time. One of the several reasons why I never give location.
Snapped a man feeding the ducks ( well seagulls mostly) at Mote Park, the light catching the gulls wings.

Young cattle feeding under autumn light on the water meadow on the edge of the village. Always good to see and hear them!
Here is one from a few weeks ago, again at RSPB Old Moor this time on Tree Sparrow Farm.
Goldfinches love to pick the seeds from between the crevices in the Teasel.
A pair of baby Cedar Waxwings sit in a tree waiting to be feeding hiding from view. We were fortunate to spot them.
2 of the swallows were in the original shot, two more have been merged in, walking this path was frustrating, being dive bombed by feeding swallows
Lucky enough to see this bald eagle feeding the remaining baby. The second baby fell out the nest the day prior, so it was at a bird rehab for recovery.
I spent some time reviewing old ranch photos today and liked this one taken in 2012 on the Hulme Ranch near Montpelier Idaho. Jon Peterson was a ranch hand driving a sleigh to feed cattle in the Bear Lake Valley. It can be a long drive across snowy fields to reach herds of cows, so horses and a sleigh are sometimes the best way to get the job done. I had a good experience hitching a ride.
The birds are going mad for these fruity pellets that I get from Wilkinsons, all year round from the robins to the jackdaws, but with the young being fed at this time of year they become much bolder. The woodpeckers are getting very brave at the moment.
This bird table is a few feet from our front room so while having our breakfast we can watch the antics of the birds also feeding.
I think these are Sand Martins feeding their young. However someone else thought they were House Martins.
The last in the series of iPhone / Smart Phone walks for Windsor Camera Club which was an excellent event with cooler weather.
Image taken using a monopod and remote control unit called a CamKix to fire the shutter on an iPhone 13 Pro Max.
I was feeding the koi this afternoon when I noticed a large dragonfly circling around the pond. It is very unusual to see dragonflies around here this late in the season, so when it landed I ran inside and grabbed my camera, expecting it to be gone by the time I returned.. But it was still there, I think it was having trouble flying in today's strong wind and decided to stay put for awhile so I was able to take several shots of it. It is a male Shadow Darner (Aeshna umbrosa), and since dragonflies are my favorite insect I was thrilled to see this late season visitor. Best viewed Large. Backyard photography.
