Ted heard about this show, today was the last day, featuring Some of Sue Anna Joe's photography. The show featured art from some young artists from all types of mediums. Downstairs was the mod art, paintings, sketches, and other things...upstairs were the photos. IT WAS HOOOOTTTT UPSTAIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so hot it was hard to breath.
There was a band playing outside, and booths selling tshirts and i think that there was a stand selling food. People in LA have such a hard time setting up something similar...take notes.
The photos were really interesting and there were some really good pieces there. We had to leave tho...we had birthday plans with the family(we weren't told this when we left the house in the morning and when we finally arrive home, we are told that they already did the birthday/cake thing earlier without us!!!).
Just playing about as all the rooms in my hotel feature art as the headboards. My first room had Van Gogh's Sunflowers, this is a spooky Rembrandt

Day Two of the East Preston Festival.
This afternoon was the first of two afternoons of the Open Gardens and Art Trail. Of the eleven entrants, three featured art only. The other eight were gardens, a couple of which also had some art on display.
We also found a few more of the scarecrows.
I understand there are 12 scarecrows in total, all on a royal theme.
Update on that ... 2 of the scarecrows were stolen during the night of Friday 3rd ... the first night of the Festival. What is the world coming to.
Built in 1941, this Art Moderne-style former movie theater was formerly known as the Dayvue Theater, owing to its location near the border between Bellevue and Dayton, Kentucky, and operated until 1955-1956. The building has since housed various other commercial enterprises, but maintains the original tile cladding on the upper portion of the facade. The building’s facade originally featured Art Moderne-style windows and doors with rounded corners, semi-circular lights on the entrance doors, and a central ticket booth at the front entrance, which have since been removed, while the tile on the upper portion of the front facade remains intact, including a blue arched panel at the center of the building, buff-colored tile with dark red bands, red brick exterior on the sides and rear, and the original marquee structure, which has since been clad in a newer sign for the printing and mailing business presently housed in the building.
