At the Spring Arts and Culture Festival on May 5, 2012, percussionists performed in a drum circle outside the museum. The Spencer Student Advisory Board hosted the fifth annual festival this year, which featured art for sale by local and student visual artists, art-making activities for all ages, live music and performances.

In August 2021, AbTeC Gallery hosted a double vernissage extravaganza as a part of IIF’s annual Symposium of the Future Imaginary. Curated by Melaw Nakehk’o, founding member of Dene Nahjo, Indigenous Futures: Rooted and Ascending is a mixed-reality exhibition taking place simultaneously at Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife, NWT, and at AbTeC Gallery online. The virtual exhibition included transmediated versions of the works in the physical gallery and offers a parallel avenue of access to the pieces. The Indigenous artists in Rooted
and Ascending engage with Indigenous Futurism, a social and cultural movement that celebrates the power of imagination, technology, and self-determination. They cast visions that describe, often through the lens of science fiction and cosmology, their own utopian ideals. Each artist, whether using technology or traditional techniques, explores what is possible: if colonial oppression did not exist, what would the future look like? Exhibiting artists include Kablusiak, Margaret Nazon, Riel Stevenson Burke, Robyn McLeod, Siku Allooloo, Casey Koyczan, Cody Fennel.
For the exhibition Trails and Overflow we erected a virtual recreation of Roaring Rapids Hall, a roundhouse community centre in Fort Smith, NWT, next to AbTeC Gallery. Featuring art and materials from a transmediated, community-created board game, curator Davis Heslep of Western Arctic Moving Pictures brings together an exhibition reflecting WAMP’s ongoing work in promoting digital media skills among local youth.
AbTeC Gallery is an Indigenously determined virtual exhibition space for contemporary art, located on AbTeC Island in Second Life.
Doctor Who – Terror from the Deep is a not-for-profit Doctor Who strip featuring the Seventh Doctor and Ace, written by John Freeman, featuring art by Danny Cushion.

Ted heard about this show, today was the last day, featuring Some of Sue Anna Joe's photography. The show featured art from some young artists from all types of mediums. Downstairs was the mod art, paintings, sketches, and other things...upstairs were the photos. IT WAS HOOOOTTTT UPSTAIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so hot it was hard to breath.
There was a band playing outside, and booths selling tshirts and i think that there was a stand selling food. People in LA have such a hard time setting up something similar...take notes.
The photos were really interesting and there were some really good pieces there. We had to leave tho...we had birthday plans with the family(we weren't told this when we left the house in the morning and when we finally arrive home, we are told that they already did the birthday/cake thing earlier without us!!!).
On December 08, 2009 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., we had an Open House. Our Open House featured art by a few local schools, author Mark Grisham, music by Christian and Nyah, and plenty of food.

Theres an artist at Riflemakers Gallery that makes sculptures from hair (theyre pretty dark) But could look pretty cool as a feature piece, he has a show on at the moment

Day Two of the East Preston Festival.
This afternoon was the first of two afternoons of the Open Gardens and Art Trail. Of the eleven entrants, three featured art only. The other eight were gardens, a couple of which also had some art on display.
All the gardens were different ... each one unique and beautiful in one way or another. And all of them very much loved. Well done to all.
