Recently there was an improvement project at the dam for Drummond Lake at Nathaniel-Greene Park. This is part of a much larger project that was created.

Emelya is a restaurant chain featuring local Russian food. The decor is in the style of a Russian village house with lots of wood, and rustic tables. You can get a good hearty meal here, in a nice atmosphere. Incidentally, "Emelya" is a name of a Russian fairy-tale character whose main habit and lifestyle was being idle.
Lunch (without drinks) was approx 200 rubles, which is about average for a middle-class eating establishment in the center of St. Petersburg.
Had a delicious lunch of mushroom soup here!
Featuring a just short of 5 hours observation at Roade on the WCML on Saturday Aug 5th 1950 when 62 trains were noted, better than one every five minutes. 17 of these being specials. Notable is Jubilee 45637 'Windward Islands' destroyed in the Harrow disaster of Oct 1952.

I’ve been seeing brews from Shmaltz’s He’brew linearound for some time now, but this week’s feature is the first I’ve tried. The Bittersweet Lenny R.I.P.A. is a 40th anniversary tribute to political satirist Lenny Bruce’s death. He died at the age of 40. Throughout his career, his comedy routine got him arrested for using such obscenities as “cocksucker” and “schmuck” (my how times have changed); there were also drug possession charges (yet times remain the same). Modern comedy greats such as George Carlin, Jon Stewart, & Lewis Black (to name a few) site Lenny as an influence on their careers.
Does the Bittersweet Lenny R.I.P.A. live up to the legend it’s attributed to?
Hell yes!
This IPA is brewed with 8 malts grain varieties, including 3 rye varieties (rye, terrified rye, & crystal rye 75). They also throw in 7 hop varieties throughout the boil, and dry hop w/ a blend Amarillo & Crystal. Yes, you can say this is a complex ale. I am actually amazed this is as cheap as it is ($6 for a 22oz bottle).
End result is a really flavorful IPA. The ingredients balance themselves out, so you’re not overwhelmed. It is an obscene IPA experience which would probably get you arrested if it was 1961.

Common Features of Gucci Bags
Gucci bags have a few things in common no matter what the style. The company only makes the bags in Italy, and all new bags come with a few distinctive features. Every bag has an interior tag sewn into the lining of the purse that includes a serial number stamped into the leather. The front of the tag says "Gucci" and "Made in Italy." The back of the tag has the purse's model number and a unique serial number.
Branding and Iconography
Some bags use a canvas fabric with a "GG" pattern on it, while others merely have the letters present somewhere in the design, such as on metal accents. Gucci got its start as an equestrian company; many of the handbags offer small nods to this in bags' lining patterns or by using horse bit accents. Gucci even offers a line of horse bit bags.
Cards and Accessories
Every new Gucci bag comes with two cards: the Controllato card and the care card. The Controllato card is a sign that the bag passed inspection. It has the word "Gucci" in all caps at the top, the word "Controllato," and ten digits (1 through 9, plus 0) below that. The care card includes, as you might suspect, care instructions for the bag in several different languages.
New bags also come with a dust bag for storing the handbag. This bag has a satin finish and a cotton interior to protect your handbag. It has an interior tag that says both "Gucci" and "Made in Italy."
Lake Isabella residents Bob and Karen Karcher have been married for 50 years. "We were freshman in high school, and he had a big Harley" Karen said laughing. The two got married when they were 17 and 20 years old.

A distinctive feature of the headland beach are the aboriginal fish traps at the start of the rock shelf surrounding the headland on the northern side . The traps are unique and are reported as being a thousand years old . They consist of three rectangular square areas of pilled rock walls 2-2.5' feet high . The most complete being the middle one where I remember hand-spearing fish ( Tarwhine ) myself while snorkelling at full tide in the late 60's and early 70's . A definite No No now the whole headland has been declared part of the Solitary Islands Marine Park on the national register of marine parks . The harvesting of anything alive or dead in the the area around the headland is now strictly forbidden . The Garby Elders , members of the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Corporation are decedents of the original Cumbainggie people and as such are allowed at special times of the year to utilise the traps to catch fish using traditional methods .

This photo is nothing special but it brings back so many memories for me that I have included it in this set. This chapel is located at the church camp my family spent time at nearly every summer during the sixties. As a kid, there was always something fun to do here. We would spend our time swimming, playing ping-pong in the recreation hall, softball behind the chapel and even meal time could be quite interesting. Watermelon feasts, sunset sings, and canoe rides were other favorite activities. Ironically, spending time in chapel was one of my least favorite activities.
My sister was nearly born at this camp. Apparently, my mother who was carrying her, went into labor weeks early and she and my father took a police escorted, white knuckle ride to the nearest hospital to deliver her. My brother and I woke up the next morning to discover that our parents had abandoned (left in the company of others, of course!) us at the camp. We spent the day being cared for by the camp nurse. I was not quite five years old at the time and have only vague memories of this event. What I do remember is being confused as to why the parents had to leave us.
