Early morning shot depicting a female ibex racing down the dam of the Lago della Rossa (Valle di Viù) . The Canon 17-40 glass is probably not the first lens that would come to your mind if you are planning to shoot wildlife photography. But that morning I was having some technical issues with my other body (with the 70-200) so events probably forced me to make the right decision because if this shot works it is because one can take the whole scene in (something that would have got lost had I shot with the 70-200). Ibex are famous for climbing dams where they find the salt they are so fond of. The most famous shots, at least here in Italy, are taken at the Cingino dam in Valle Antrona but any dam will do. In 2013 Stanislao Basileo won the Urban Wildlife section of the Wildlife photographer of the year (sponsored by the BBC and London's Natural History Museum) with the shot Dam Difficult (no, it's not a typo) which depicts an ibex on the Lago del Serrù dam (Valle Orco).

The statue was installed on March 7, 2017, in anticipation of International Women's Day the following day. It depicts a girl four feet high, promoting female empowerment.

Hey everyone!!! Had a great day shooting with David Beckham for a video he is making named Fearless based off the song by Taylor Swift. The models are Tori and Justin who played the part perfectly! This is one of the final shots of the whole shoot that i couldn't resist using for my 366! The video is in the works and hopefully posted soon! Thanks guys love you all!
