None of our cats like snow, not even Sethi (probably because hunting mice is difficult under these conditions). I guess when he looked at me like this he wanted to tell me that the presence of the unwelcome cold white stuff is all my fault and that I should make it disappear asap !
An area at the south coast of Malta know as L-ilsejjen (the tongues). It forms part of the Maghlaq fault.
With a small Art Gallery and cafe in the little anexe type place.. if you zoom in the couple outside look like a) they are both about to puke or b) see my camera trained on them and put their hands up to their faces.
I thought I was far enough away not to be intrusive but i didn't notice till I zoomed around my image looking for faults...Church Cove just a little further on..

The line running through the valley below is the San Andreas fault.
In this view of the north end of Sugarloaf Mountain, dipping beds of Ordovician Bighorn Dolomite rests on flat-lying Cambrian Pilgram Limestone and Park Shale. The surface between the dipping and flat lying beds is the Heart Mountain Detachment fault. The mountain can be seen from the Chief Joseph Highway (WY 296) in Shoshone National Forest northwest of Cody, Wyoming.

With a rail train billed to CSX @ Crestline, OH and a few cars for Upper Sandusky, a run east was necessary on CFE. I asked the engineer if he could take the OHCR unit and he said sure. It was nice to finally get this unit on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore
A north looking view of the Þingvellir rift valley in Iceland from near the Lögberg flagpole inside the National Park. On the left side of the foreground is the slope Hallurinn. Almannagjá gorge is further left outside of the photo. These features mark the west side of the rift valley. In the center of the photo is the Óxará which exits the Almannagjá by cutting threw the Hallurinn slope. It then flows down a low between faults. Fissures filled with water can be found along the banks of the river. Further to the right cliffs along other faults/fissures across the river can be seen. The bounding fault on the east side of the rift valley, Hrafnagjá, lies near the Mountains and cannot be made out in this photo. The Volcanoes and Volcanic Mountains on the horizon left to right are Ármannsfell, Lágafell, Skjaldbreiður ( a large shield volcano), Tindaskagi, Hrafnabjörg.
One of my many faults is focusing on where I'm going and not pulling over when I see something nice, 'I'll get it on the way back' is my biggest excuse. Alvin Harp has taught me that there is much to be seen right beside us. This tributary to the White River near FSR 73 was a pull over dang it moment. The snow had just started and the tangled mess of winter wonderland begged to be photographed. :-)
Normal faults offset the rocks visible in this road cut near the old community of Nugget in the Tunp Range west of Kemmerer, Lincoln County, Wyoming. The red beds on the right are calcareous mudstones which are part of the Upper Triassic Ankareh Formation. To the center and left of the photo, the purple to red beds of siltstone and sandstone also belong to the Upper Triassic Ankareh Formation. The tan interbeds on the left are indurated sandstone (quartzite). The tan to buff colored rock on the left above the red beds are the lower beds of the Triassic/Jurassic Nugget sandstone. Nearby these sandstone beds become massive, crossbedded, ridge-formers.

Straight lines are unusual in nature so this straight section of rock in Glacier National Park caught my eye.
One of our patients just had a litter of five healthy kittens. Luna, the mother, and Snickers, the father pictured below, are both purebred Bengals rescued because they were not show-worthy. I'm not sure of Snicker's "faults" but Luna was born without a right eye. They are just now a year old but the owners wanted their children to get to experience one litter of kittens before spaying and neutering Luna and Snickers.

A section of the cliffs between Seaton and Beer in East Devon, viewed from Seaton beach. Thanks to a fault running N - S, the cliffs change dramatically from red Mercia Mudstone (Triassic) to Cretaceous Chalk.
