i was intending to go quite iron man with these, but they came out a bit more the flash. either way, they're fast hero nails.

I went to Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, on Monday. All these images are taken either with the Samyang 500mm mirror lens on the 5D Mk 2, or with a 70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.4x converter combo on my old 30D.

Interesting day - the Samyang gives very much softer images (with mirror lens background bokeh) but the 30D is noisier.

Montrealers have been spellbound by the mechanical displays in Ogilvy’s department store window every Christmastime since 1947. The Bavarian scenes, custom made by the German toy manufacturer Steiff, feature dozens of handcrafted animals working and playing. Similar to those of department stores in other parts of the world, like Macy’s in New York or the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, these window displays are among the last of their kind in North America.

In jammies, husband's sweatshirt against stormy winds, and unbrushed hair, because heaven forbid one pose and smile, of course.
