Hi,Further to our recent information sent out, we've had a lot of people ask us questions about the Sleight of Mind Set Workshops. So, we've put together the following FAQ. DO YOU TEACH ME THE TRICKS?
Yes, although we prefer to call them effects. You come away from the workshops with ways to:

WHAT'S IN THE KITS? DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THEM?
No, they both come as part of the programme. The Sleight of Mind Set has the material that allows you to do the above effects. The SNT (Show, Not Tell) kit is a tool and resource all on its own. For full details, please go to mindsways.com/SNT/
WHERE CAN I USE THIS?

WHERE ARE THE WORKSHOPS?
The workshops are being held across the UK in Birmingham, Bath, Glasgow and London.
WHAT ARE THE TIMES AND DATES OF THE WORKSHOPS?
All of the workshops start at 10 a.m. and aim to finish about 5 p.m. The Birmingham Workshop is on 13th November, Bath will be on 15th November, Glasgow is on 20th November and London will be either on 27th or 28th November.
HOW MUCH IS IT? ARE THERE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?
Yes, there are discounts available for multiple booking. For Birmingham, one place is £99.99 and two places are £189.99. The prices for Bath are £129.99 for one place and £249.99. For Glasgow, the price is £119.99 for one person and £229.99 for two. Finally, London is £139.99 for one person and £259.99 for two people. The prices vary because of venue capacity and availability.
DO I NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?
No, not at all. The open workshops take every one through the process step by step. The approach we take is closer to mind magic and mentalism (Derren Brown etc.) rather than conjuring (Paul Daniels etc.) Previous participants have found the effects practical for what they do. IS THE COURSE ACCREDITED?
No. This is because it's based on non-traditional approaches, uncommon knowledge from magic and is delivered flexibly, based on the people who are attending. It's this flexible and non-traditional approach that creates its strength.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No, we take an informal approach where everyone is comfortable and have fun.
IS LUNCH PROVIDED?
No, lunch is not provided by us. All of the venues, however, are located near shops and town centres. We put aside at least an hour for lunch on the day and provide tea and coffee.
DO I NEED TO BRING A NOTEBOOK?
This depends on your personal preference. It's not necessary as we provide:
The SNT kit
The SMS pack
A 2-hour video with instructions for the SNT kits
Presentation slides
Notes on the effects you will learn
Files for extra printed materials
Follow up opportunities

ARE THERE WEBCASTS OR VIDEOS OF THE WORKSHOP AVAILABLE?
No, we are currently not offering video streams or webcasts that are suitable for distance learning. However, the SNT kit is available separately, which includes the 2 hour video which is suitable for distance learning. For more information, please see mindsways.com/SNT/
WHY IS IT CALLED SLEIGHT OF MIND SET?

HOW DO I BOOK ON THE WORKSHOP?

Nessa foto vamos esclarecer alguns fatos vagos sobre as historinhas, e provavelmente vai ter alguns spoilers.
Primeiramente, gostaríamos de pedir desculpas por ficar tanto tempo sem postar. Essa historinha atrasou a postagem pois o "passado" da doll ainda estava incerto. Esperamos continuar postando historinhas mais frequentemente depois disso. :T
1- A maioria das dolls vem de um mundo paralelo, igual ao nosso, e em um ponto dos dois mundos há uma fenda no espaço-tempo, que acaba sugando humanos de grande potencial mágico.
2- A vinda da Ariel não tem ligação com a fenda (ela veio de outro planeta, não um mundo paralelo)
3- Como as magas chegam aqui e já tem moradia/o essencial para viver? Como foi dito, humanos com grande potencial mágico passaram para o outro, de lá pra cá vieram as magas, ou seja, de cá pra lá alguém também foi sugado. As magas agora habitam a ex-casa do ser que foi jogado para o mundo paralelo.
4-A Sara também é uma maga, porém antes de ser sugada para cá, ficou sem memórias (vai ser explicado mais tarde nas historinhas). Ela pensa que desmaiou e acordou no mesmo lugar, ou seja, ela ainda não sabe que está em outro mundo e nem está ciente que tem poderes, apenas desconfia disso.
5- A Sara e o Neithan chegaram no mesmo dia, porém as outras magas não tem conhecimento que Sara está aqui.
6- O tempo lá passa mais devagar em relação ao daqui..

FAQ: Preparing audio for CD burning - marking tracks and splitting your file
Assuming that your material is fully prepared - that you have got a single 44.1kHz 16-bit stereo file displayed in edit view, possibly as a result of a mixdown from the multitrack - you can proceed as follows.
Right click on the time scale at the bottom of the waveform.
Choose 'Display Time Format > Compact Disc 75fps'.
Right click on the time scale again
Choose 'Snapping > Snap to frames (always)'.
Those steps should help ensure click-free transitions from one track to another.
Go to the beginning of the file and click there, so that the cursor is at 00:00:00:00 - press F8, and that will drop a cue mark there representing the start of track one on the CD. Now place the cursor at the point in the file that you want to set as the beginning of the second CD track. Press F8 to place a cue mark there. Proceed through the file in a similar fashion until the start of every track has been marked. Then finally place a cue mark at the end of the last track, normally the end of your displayed file.
It might be a good idea to save the file now, with the cue marks in it.
Now select 'View > Show Cue List'.
In normal Windows fashion highlight (select) all the cues listed there.
Press the Merge button that is part of the cue list window.
Your cues have now been changed into ranges , which represent the start of track one to the end of track one, the start of track two to the end of track two, and so on.
Now highlight all the ranges, and press the 'Batch' button.
In the dialog that appears, click on the 'Save to files' button so that the lower part of the dialog is enabled.
Enter something relevant in the 'Filename prefix' box - like "Track" or "Song" or whatever - this will ultimately create files called "Track1, Track2" etc or "Song1, Song2...."
Set Seq. Start to "1".
Specify the Destination Folder in normal Windows fashion.
Set the Output Format to "Windows PCM".
Click on "OK"
This will generate in the directory you specified the files you will then burn to CD using Nero or whatever.
In Nero, the audio CD wizard should guide you through the process. Each file will become a separate track with a separate track number.
If you have allowed space between the tracks when you laid them out in the Edit view in the first place, you probably don't want Nero to add 2 seconds between each track. The same applies if it is continuous material like a live concert - you don't want silence between the tracks. So in the Nero list of tracks, highlight all but the first track, right click and select Properties, then set 'Pause' to zero.
In the burn dialog, make sure that you set the Write Method to 'disc at once'.
