Fancy, if you believe in what I believe in,
Then we’ll be the same, always.
Fancy, just look around thee
If you will fancy all the girls you see, always.
My love is like a ruby that no one can see,
Only my fancy, always.
No one can penetrate me,
They only see what’s in their own fancy, always.

Liked the quilted look on this but I'm still not sold on the colors. I'll try this one again next year.
He got the word Fancy tattooed on the inside of his pinky so that it's only visible when drinking. It was done by Chaz Vitale at Skeleton Key Tattoo (503) 233-4292 on a Portland Performer. I'd include it in the collection because Portland is a city of performing arts, identity politics, and the celebration of personal expression.

Fancy is available for adoption in Northern Virginia, USA, through HART .
One of our HART volunteers pulls cats from a rural kill shelter in West Virginia. She went out to pick up some cats and saw Fancy with her litter of kittens. The shelter workers were vaccinating the kittens but not Fancy. Our volunteer asked what was up with that and you know the story. The kittens were to be made available for adoption but mom was on her way to the euthanasia room. Our volunteer took mom home with her along with the other cats she went to pick up. Can you imagine this beautiful, sweet girl being euthanized? I can not.

Stuck inside yesterday by the weather I decided to photograph a few of my Fancy Guppies.

Patterns and coloration change a bit with every generation. Unlike professional breeders I do not try to develop patters and colors through selective breeding. I do however enjoy noting the changes in coloration and patterns with each generation.
