Fall has come to Washington, DC! Beautiful blue skies and lots of color in the trees make fall one of the most lovely seasons here. This will likely be my last post until Oct. 13 or so. I'll miss Flickr and all of you while I'm offline!
I love the spicy and fragrant breads and cakes associated with fall and the holidays and this is one of my favorite recipes. It's a pumpkin bread full of walnuts, semi-sweet chocolate chips and flavored with nutmeg. It's a King Arthur flour recipe that I've used again and again over the years. Here's a link to the recipe:http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/easy-pumpkin-bread-recipe
These set of "Fall Color" pictures were taken on my way to work. This is the road that I walk to work in. There are several roads in Redmond filled with colors like this during the month of October.
So fortunate to see them everyday on my way to work. Its a refreshing feeling in the morning.
See them and let me know your comments.
A fall display I found along the highway while doing my grocery run. Took this at night. They close at 1800hrs and I only get there at 2030 to 2100.

Fall Phlox (sometimes referred to as Garden Phlox) at Port Royal State Park this past Thursday evening (8-8-2013) following a day-long soaking from the repeated rains we've been receiving in the region recently.
Tioga road was closed. We pulled over immediately when we saw this meadow covered in frost! It was freezing.
Taken morn around 8.30am
Uploaded as taken. No post production whatsoever!
We are fortunate to have some fantastic art on the side of our building at 26th & Hennepin. My company, 10th Floor Property Management, leaves this space available for an extremely talented artist, Rock Martinez, who changes the art seasonally. This piece was for the fall of 2016.

Standing here was one of my favorite moments in Montana. Like most of the trip, we were in an isolated area with no one else in sight. I hope to return again so I can get in the water for some different compositions. Sigma 10-20mm @10mm, F13, 1/60th
