Closing out the week with a landscape image of the fall colors beginning to emerge in Colorado. Having grown up in south Florida where there was virtually no change of season, I have been in my glory for the past 5 years enjoying the colors exploding on the landscape. Combine that with the usual sunny days that we also enjoy and it really doesn't get much better. Can't wait to see more of this. It goes pretty fast, but if you go down in elevation with the color changes, it can last a bit longer. So wonderful. :-)
Happy Friday to all!

“But then fall comes, kicking summer out on its treacherous ass as it always does one day sometime after the midpoint of September, it stays awhile like an old friend that you have missed. It settles in the way an old friend will settle into your favorite chair and take out his pipe and light it and then fill the afternoon with stories of places he has been and things he has done since last he saw you.”
-Stephen King
New snow and falling leaves. The spot in the clouds is a large hawk that was soaring down the ridge. Inching closer to winter, 29 degrees, scraping ice this AM.
" But words are things and a small drop of ink,
Falling like a dew, upon a thought produces
That which makes thousands, perhaps millions think; "
-Lord Byron, from "Don Juan"
I had just about given up looking for an interesting foreground to get one good image of the autum colors when a group of ducks just flew in... so tried to guide them away from the sun and towards an area where the trees were colorful and somehow was successful in getting a couple of ducks to go where I wanted them to... :-)!!
Happy Halloween and Have a GRRREATTTT weekend.
All the trees are in bloom for their splendid Fall colours here. Many variations exist too. View from both my balcony and windows.
