The perfect antidote to urban living: an extended country drive. Ideally, travelling on roads that are designated "No Winter Maintenance". Which means no summer maintenance either
Didn’t have my regular camera on me when I stoped by this spot. Switched my phone to manual mode and happened to get a decent shot.
The sun was setting over the Adirondacks in the Lake Placid Region. It cast some beautiful light over the colorful trees.

Ah...fall. Our leaves have finally changed here in the South, and as of today the temperature is going to be below 80 degrees in Birmingham. Of course, right as fall moves in, I'm headed out! I'm on the road (actually in the air) to the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" in sunny Orlando today for a family vacation - should be the perfect place to spend Halloween!
I'll be catching up on fence shots throughout the day!! HFF and have a wonderful weekend!
Vernal Fall is a 317 ft waterfall on the Merced River. Unlike Yosemite Fall or Bridalveil Fall it is not visible from the valley floor. We took the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Fall, this is the view from about halfway. To the top of Vernal it is about a 2.5 mile hike with a 1,000 ft elevation gain. Once we reached the top of Vernal, we decided to go on to the top of Nevada Fall. This was the hardest hike I've ever done. Nearly 10 miles round trip and 2,000 ft elevation gain, but it was 100% worth it!
Taken with my E-M10 and processed with Luminar.

The intense autumnal colours along the banks of the River Teign near to Fingle Bridge, captured a couple of years ago. Thanks for stopping by. (GIC)
This is Tosia, my son's friend. I got back to this older session because I got into creating resources for photographers and I have created a set of Autumn Leaves. If you wish to get some of those please visit my website: iwonapodlasinska.com/warsztat/nakladki-fotograficzne-en/?...
