Cement steps and foundation to what was once a church. I could not find much of anything about this location. The only way I know it was a church is because the only other photos i have seen of it, the photographer had spoken to someone from the area who knew it had been a church.

OK, I'm typing right now, Saturday morning July 24. 2021 and thinking too, so that makes for slower typing. I tried to learn the difference between thistle and distal. Memory failure! It wasn't distal, that was different. It was teasel. So now I figured out the two words that are different; but I have yet to completely grasp the differences. It would help if I knew what a bract was. I don't. So, since this is primarily a cartoon type of exchange between 2 fenceposts, I'm not going to worry about total accuracy right now. I'm pretty sure some of my Flickr friends will enlighten me later.

STORY part is between the rows of asterisks.

**********************************************************************

The post on the right is saying, "We could just be friends. Whatcha think?'

The left post says, "Yeah, but you have a pretty good face and I don't."

RP (that's Right Post) says, "I'm not as real as I look. None of my facial features, are actually on my face. My eyes and nose are really just shadows from thistles or teasels. The shadows don't even exist all day long, and I'm guessing not at all at night. But if my eyes were real, I'd probably get scared and close them at night anyway."

LP (that's Left Post) says, "Something in common we have is both of us have eyes that are on a slant across our head. We probably wouldn't win any beauty contests. My eyes are different than yours, though. Mine are formed by knotholes in my body, not shadows. Your shadow nose is different than mine too. Mine is much larger but not as definitive, and it was formed by wildfire scarring. Neither of us can probably smell much anyway, so what difference does it make if our noses are different?"

RP: My mouth is formed by the front section of tightly clamped barbed wire. It just looks like my mouth. Yours looks different than mine.

LP: Yours just looks sort of straight across, like you just don't have much to say right then. Mine is also barbed wire, but much more loose and hanging down. It makes it look as if I'm frowning and sad, but I'm not.

RP: I think we're both actually kind of happy to get to know each other better, and have we more in common than not. Let's be friends!

LP: Yes, let's!

The other misspelled meat.

Incidentally this is how I say chicken at better restaurants.

(Which is a lie, because I don't go to better restaurants.)

Ipswich Buses DAF DB East Lancs Lowlander failed at Stutton on the 92 service with a defective gearbox. So a replacement was soon dispatched to replace the failed bus.And a Ipswich Buses Volvo tow truck is seen here towing it back to Ipswich. Unfortunately against the light in this direction but still nice to get an image.

The gathering of orange hi-vis rather gives the game away: Metrolink tram 1014 has come a cropper, as a points failure has caused her to head straight on and off the rails instead of gliding round to her right and on to the Piccadilly Gardens stop.

Class 153 DMU 153353 stands at Cardiff Central with the 2G66 1615 Maesteg to Gloucester service on 24th January 2017. An additional unit (a Class 150 DMU I think) was attached at Cardiff. The train was terminated at Gloucester due to a track circuit failure.

Another attempt at the 11 service outside Sainsbury`s, Bilton. Behind Flexibus YJ59 NNP is an illegally parked car in the 'drop-off/pick up' point which is often abused by lazy bone idle customers. This prevented me getting the desired angle of the bus, and ultimately, my desired composition, so a compromise had to be made again. Third time lucky, perhaps?

This third example of failure mode shows three bee hives in disrepair beside the McIntosh c rib. I thought that it was only the human critter that soiled his own home. That especially applies in the Trump kingdom. Here, these bees seem unable to maintain their own home. What gives? They left the place safe for the bunny at the left margin. He doesn't seem concerned about me at all but then I am not concerned about him either.

I have stood right next to the active hives on the corner of McIntosh Ag Museum wondering if there was a picture there. Maybe I'll figure out a good shot yet. It seems that they never bother with me at all so long as I don't get into their beesiness. Who knew? I bet if one of them landed on me and I held still, a bee would loose interest right away.

Well, I headed toward the Loop Trail around McIntosh Lake. This was a dandy day with bank of clouds streaming from the mountains. I originally thought that I better get some exercise but here I am trying to hold still once again. There is always something at McIntosh. I am fighting time poorly spent behind this keyboard and monitor. Amazon and Echo don't want you to get up and move but scientists say that after all their studies on longevity, exercise is the most reliable way to extend life; exercise.

There are times as a transvestite that I really wish I could pass myself off as an actual female, in fact I dream of having the looks and ability to achieve a convincing illusion of being a woman. I acknowledge that despite harbouring the desire to do this I simply don't have what it takes to ever succeed in with this aspiration.

Despite my obvious failures to look and behave like a woman I still have a wonderful time on each occasion I indulge in my love of male to female cross-dressing. It is always a thrill and I feel incredibly happy engaging in gender illusion and imagining I am a woman. It's a powerful emotional experience that I know I have a need to experience, I simply cannot resist the inner urge within me to dress and attempt to look female.

This photo taken in early June captures me in a rather joyous moment of delight. I fail to look female but I truly enjoyed being outside dressed as one and loved having the make-up on my face and wearing the wig. My dream will remain elusive but the inner delight of actually doing this for real is rewarding and as ever for me, very exciting.

I experienced an increase in confidence by wearing make-up, I enjoyed having a female hair style and I was euphoric to be wearing a dress and high heels having had my legs waxed the previous day. To feel the soft summer breeze caressing my smooth hairless legs and the hem of my dress while catching the scent of the perfume I had dabbed on and the glimpses of my painted nails, the feel of the feminine fabrics and delight of my feet being in high heels which are uncomfortable but so fabulously feminine, yes indeed, I just love being a transvestite!

Being outside in the garden is the furthest I will ever venture while cross-dressed as I know I will never pass publicly as this picture shows all too clearly, it is very obvious I am a man dressed up as a woman so I need to be realistic about my abilities. I love cross-dressing but I also know where to draw the line with my limited skills and physicality.

I do receive compliments on my appearance and I'm grateful people are so nice to me as their words are encouraging but I know in reality I don't really look like a woman and no matter how hard I try I never will, that's just how it is.

This obvious limitation in my skills and physical abilities does not diminish the fun and joy I gain from cross-dressing, I still adore my time as Helene. I'm am sure I am not alone in recognising one's limitations but knowing one can still enjoy themselves despite this and gain fulfilment from the act of attempting to look like a woman, it is a amazing thing to do and as I mentioned earlier, I love it :-)

Please take your time... to View it large on black

The Krumltal is one of the side valleys of the Hohe Tauern National Park and can be reached by a steep path in the beginning. A beautiful scenery with a lot of wildlife. Between water falls, rocks and alpine pastures the Kruml brook brings you directly to the birds of prey of the alps. The Krumltal accommodates the most important traditional sleeping places and the best observation possibilities for bearded vultures which come annually during the Hohe Tauern. A Bearded Vulture does not look like a typical vulture. It is often mistaken for a Golden Eagle, which lives in the same habitat. The Bearded vulture reaches 45 inches from head to tail, its wingspan is almost 90 inches. The bearded vulture have a white colour of neck, wings and tail dark, head and underparts light-rufous, black bristles hang at the base of the beak and a bit larger than the Golden Eagle. In 1986, the Krumltal was selected as the site in which to reintroduce the bearded vulture to the Alps. The larger birds of prey are more sensitive to disturbances of all kinds. The time taken before reaching sexual maturity, the few young born per couple the long breeding period and the numerous failures all serve to slow down reproduction and hinder the renewal of generations. Higher up in the mountains, above the tree line, we enter their territory. This is where you might be lucky enough to spot a Beared Eagle. This year will see the final release of bearded vultures into the wild. The vultures feed mainly on carrion. The Bearded Vulture has even a more limited diet: it eats chiefly bleached bones.- These are by no means the worst parts of animal carcasses: A bone may contain up to 12% proteins, 16% fat and some important minerals. This remarkable habitat has yet another advantage: bones are inedible to any other animals thus the Bearded Vulture has no competitors for its food. Its gastric acids are capable of dissolving even large bones. Bones up to the size of the vertebra of a cattle may be swallowed whole by a Bearded Vulture. Larger bones are taken in the feet to "ossuaries" which are traditionally used plates of rock where the birds drop the bones from heights of 50 to 80 meters until they brake into small bits.

Feel nature's power here in the Krumltal valley of the National park Hohe Tauern - Austria. The white mountain tops are reaching here higher than 2700 meters. Here above the tree line we entering the Birds of Prey territory. Here you walk alongside the roosts of the recently reintroduced Bearded Vultures nestled amid the magnificent Alpine mountains. I was lucky to spot a Beared Vulture -Lammergeier. A photo as close as I can get using my max. 486mm zoom.

So my dumbass self decided to chase this train from Steward all the way to Aurora and of course, I miss the damn train thanks to miscommunication on the heads up group on Facebook, shitty drivers, and shitty decision making... F*ck that right?!

Basically wasted hours of my day to get this train and $20 on gas... so basically, this was a shitty day, despite getting the train.

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.

"Fear Regret not Failure"

If there was any saying I would like to live my life by... this would be it.

here is the WHOLE IMAGE of the mural, painted at Kunsthalle Galapagos in Dumbo,Brooklyn ....you can still go see the it in person until the 4th of march if you are in NYC

“Fictitious capital” is a term for the kind of wealth that exists on paper but which is susceptible to simply disappearing when there is a market failure. If you sell it or invest it in something actually productive, well, you’re doing well. But if you hold it until the market fails – and markets always fail, eventually – all that “wealth” you had simply goes away. It had no real productive value when left unused.

So too with a pumpkin, taken in from the doorstep after Hallowe’en, and planned by its owners to be put in a soup. A soup that was never produced. Finally, the owner (that was me, by the way) discovered a soft spot and realised the pumpkin wasn’t fit to eat anymore. So he (I) put it on the back doorstep until, uhh, I can get it into the compost pile.

And it has collapsed, like so much fictitious capital.

Mind you, I *will* get it into the compost, and it will be productive. But that’s sort of like saying that you can turn your bankruptcy to some good by writing a memoir of your losses.

"Aren't you glad your class isn't like this?"

Me: no.

We pay a heavy price for our fear of failure. It is a powerful obstacle to growth. It assures the progressive narrowing of the personality and prevents exploration and experimentation. There is no learning without some difficulty and fumbling. If you want to keep on learning, you must keep on risking failure all your life.
