Hard to believe the saying is now fourty years old. (1966). Yet it still needs to be said, more than ever before.
My first attempt at combining multiple layers/opacity, gradient masks and a few things that HOTB, Metamorphasis, andreboxbox (and others) are chuckling at by now, but gotta push my bounds somehow. Taken from the original 'zinnia at dusk'.
It's not subtle, I know.

I created this when I noticed that the description for the episode of Numb3rs I was about to watch was... a little less than up to standard. I'm really hoping "megan faces a "criss _____" refers to a Criss Angel: Mindfreak / Numb3rs crossover. That'd be sweet.

Our Daily Challenge - 4979. 7/20 “Dear Diary..."
... Mom tried to recreate a picture from 2015 (which happened to pop up as a "favorite" on Facebook, today).
It went... badly.
Different camera (but same lens), different room, different lighting setup (because it's a different room) and different dog.
The room and lighting were the biggest reason for the fail. With a bit more work on my part (like printing out the picture so I had something to refer to at the time!) Riley probably could have mimicked Zachary's pose pretty closely.
This was really meant as trial run, to see if the room was going to work... and it didn't. The Kitchen setup just can't be replicated in Son's old room.
Aside: I really had to push the red/green calibration sliders to get Riley even close to Zachary's color... which is... strange. The dogs are all basically the same shade (except Beau - my beautiful deep golden outlier - see profile photo, he's the dark one) and now has me wondering if I need to look into the new camera a bit more on that front.
Ignore the difference caused by the frosting on Zachary's face - wisdom can't be faked. :)
(Toby? We took one shot and he decided he didn't like the props. Models. LOL!)
