When you feel like your going nowhere.Time stays still and you just fade away. You need to keep moving forward.
Kim Klassen's challenge this week is red...at one time the barn had a bright red roof, but time, weather, and sun have faded its red.
A magnificent double lotus flower. At night this was a bud in the flower pot in front of the hotel we stayed in. At breakfast time, sadly, it was already starting to fade away. :( (We do not have these flowers in NZ - Too cold?)
..is what i think of my life in the last coupla months. Thing is, its pretty intentional :/ does that make me weird? Arent we supposed to be always tryna make friends and be kind and social? Humankind has a uniquely nonsensical mind
I took this picture last September.
It was dawn and I had a lot of things to do. A quick glance out of the window revealed a peculiar set of clouds. I only had a few seconds to go grab the camera and aim a quick shot to the quickly fading and metamorphosing clouds... A few seconds earlier it was livelier, a few seconds later it was gone.
The only processing done has been to lighten colors as the original was pretty dark.

Corgi Leyland Lynx resprayed to represent the era in FirstBus history when a bus that didn't have the corporate interior received the fade out, or 'Barbie 2' livery.
This started life as the CityLine issue and has kept its same identity after its repaint.
With fading light a CP ac4400cw leads a empty wind turbine train south through rural Boulder county.
Catching the last light at cradle mountain. As the long shadows signaled sunset was near I caught a glimpse of this little rocky outcrop which I managed to capture in between shooting panoramas of the fading light.

Picked up a Zorki-4 at a car boot sale at the weekend, tested it out today. There's a chance I damaged the shutter mechanism - apparently, you should only set the shutter speed once you've advanced the film fully, but I had been playing around with the camera prior to reading the manual - oops! Thankfully, it still seems to be working, but shutter did get a bit stuck/weird mid roll, while I was out in cold weather, then it was working again once I was indoors and camera warmed up again - not sure if the cold would cause that to happen or not though? Also seems to have a light leak at one side.
Accidental multiple exposure.

There has been a lot in the astronomy press about the faded of the red giant star Betelgeuse. We don't fully understand the periodic changes in this star, but it isn't the first time it has faded. Some are suggesting that its fading could be a sign that it is a precursor to a supernova explosion. There isn't really any evidence to support this, but time will tell! Last night we had some clear enough patches that I was able to photograph Orion so I can compare it to previous images I've taken. All images taken with a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens. When you put the images side by side, there is definitely a notable difference in the magnitude of Betelgeuse (the reddish coloured star on the top left of Orion). This is slightly exacerbated by thin cloud in the first 2 images, but it's very interesting to put them side by side.
