He needed it, badly...I'm always afraid to give my favorites new faceups lol. ;A; I am not worthy to touch that beautiful face...
Though honestly, if I were smart, I wouldn't be working today because it's raining. Harhar. it's been stupidly hot and dry here all week and then today I woke up and it was raining. Oh well. I don't use MSC anymore and the stuff I do use seems to be doing ok.
So after an identity crisis that involved a DoA sales thread, I decided to keep Egon and rework him into my original character Pelsan. A very kind Doa member inspired me to keep trying with him and then WD's tan elf event gave me the oomph I needed to try again. So now instead of selling Egon, I have two other tan elves on layaway. Haaaaa.
The actual art of doing faceups continues to be terrible. :) Eyebrows are the worst. My currently plan of attack is to get one eyebrow perfect, seal it, and then spend the next three hours swearing while I try to match the second eyebrow. As you can see, I'm not doing so well. Oh well, I'll keep at it. I'm also considering conquering my fear of acrylics and using them on this attempt, but we'll see how I feel once the pastel work is done.
Yay! I gave my Lusis a faceup, finally!!!!
It's my first time doing a faceup on a bjd, I've done faceups on my other non bjd dolls that I want to redo when I've the free time, they are ok but I think they can look better.
I learned a lot from this and the things I'd fear the most like the eyebrows and the eyelashes were the ones that turned out the best. I've so many faceplates to paint I hope I get tons better at faceups.
Hope you like her ^^
Charlotte got a fantasy faceup. I couldn't afford a Pipos O Charlotte from the Midsummer Night's Dream II series, so I did a similar type of faceup for her as a compromise.
I want to get a blonde wig for her, hence the blonde eyelashes. But part of me thinks next time I should give her blue ones and blue hair!
Unedited Photo. The Carters need their teeth touched up, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with them. Painting this orange translucent resin was a strange experience!
Another face-up and this time on a Volks Irvin.
Volks has such nice and big heads to paint on :3 (hihi)
It was fun to work on this guy. I loved working on him. He has such a nice skintone colour. So warm <3
I did a face-up for a Limho Mono. Love the mold, it's quite different then most of the male molds. More manly perhaps?
Anyway, I tried to take good pics of him, but it was kinda hard. Somehow I fail taking sharp pics lately. It annoys me :P
