Okay for all who don't know I want to start doing my own faceups and I have a few questions about things. I am definitely going to do some more research but It couldn't hurt to ask here.
1. What after the best tools for beginners?
I know I need water color pencils arcylic paint pastels brushes, gloss, msc, cotton balls, q-tips but I am not sure what brands to go for.
2.And for Msc do you have to spray it on the face first before you start the faceup?
3.Do you have to seal it everytime you finish something like lips or blush?
4.can someone take a snapshot of how far away I need to be to spray the face? How long do I need to wait for the seal to dry?
Sooo many questions!!!!

I’ve been working on commissions but I’ve wiped one of them twice and another once. Everything I was doing was getting blotchy or weird and I finally took a break and decided to do some practice on Päivä’s head. It took a couple try’s to get something I felt was solid but my hand isn’t shaking anymore and I feel a heck of a lot more relaxed and confident again!
I guess it’s just been so long since I’ve done faceups that I was feeling a little nervous and it was definitely affecting my work. Glad that’s over!
She might be getting some sparse freckles and I’m going to put in eyelashes but I wanted to get back to commissions so this is it for now!
(ALSO SPARKLES)
Gee, I thought I was going to sell him in the market but once I tried the watercolor pencils on him I changed my mind. He's stunning!

I'm so excited to see this girl with such a pretty face, finally! Leilah did a great job.
It's not finished - need a final layer of sealant, then gloss and lashes (not sure where I can find any tiny enough - if you know, PLEASE link me!!!) but this is pretty much how she looks. She's evolved since I got her and realized the white alpaca wasn't for her. She's younger and more 'earthy' looking.
