I’ve been working on commissions but I’ve wiped one of them twice and another once. Everything I was doing was getting blotchy or weird and I finally took a break and decided to do some practice on Päivä’s head. It took a couple try’s to get something I felt was solid but my hand isn’t shaking anymore and I feel a heck of a lot more relaxed and confident again!
I guess it’s just been so long since I’ve done faceups that I was feeling a little nervous and it was definitely affecting my work. Glad that’s over!
She might be getting some sparse freckles and I’m going to put in eyelashes but I wanted to get back to commissions so this is it for now!

I did three faceups at once over the weekend. This is my second try at doing faceups - my first was my Iplehouse Naias.
I love how different all of the BID sculpts are from one another - like a diverse collection of real children! The Iplehouse outfits are also really sweet. I want to make my Byuri a little blue corduroy ruffled skirt so she matches her sisters. She is cute in the shorts though!

Finally finished him! I struggled with gluing in the eyelashes for a week, then said screw it and took them out. :P

It's a rather pretty face. A bit dreamy, but with a somewhat different face-up she can be incredibly bitchy as well hihi.

It was a fun project, but I wasn't extremely happy with it, so I removed it again.

Oh dear. She'd had her previous faceup a little over a year and I thought, hey, I've improved since then. Let's redo her. And let's practise with acrylic. I think more practice is needed. A lot. And I have to remind myself that this mess is just practice

I did a face-up for a Limho Mono. Love the mold, it's quite different then most of the male molds. More manly perhaps?
Anyway, I tried to take good pics of him, but it was kinda hard. Somehow I fail taking sharp pics lately. It annoys me :P
