My second faceup. The first was pretty much identical except the eyelids were much more crooked.

Update: This faceup has since been redone. Eyelids and lower lashes have been improved some, and a bit more colour has been added to the lips. In other words, it's not as icky as my first and second attempts :x

I’ve been working on commissions but I’ve wiped one of them twice and another once. Everything I was doing was getting blotchy or weird and I finally took a break and decided to do some practice on Päivä’s head. It took a couple try’s to get something I felt was solid but my hand isn’t shaking anymore and I feel a heck of a lot more relaxed and confident again!

I guess it’s just been so long since I’ve done faceups that I was feeling a little nervous and it was definitely affecting my work. Glad that’s over!

She might be getting some sparse freckles and I’m going to put in eyelashes but I wanted to get back to commissions so this is it for now!
