Yup, redid her again. LOL I think this is the 4th one? The way I originally did her eyebrows bugged me, but this is much better. This is the last of the personal ones for a while as I am working on a couple of commissions now.
This is the work I did on a friends Soom Grey! I did his ears, nails, faceup, paws, the tattoo on his back, and some really light body blushing on his chest! It was a fun project.
Slow... slow progress...
This pic is from April 30, 2016.
I haven't had a chance to do gloss on her yet either.
Baaaad attitude boy.
I was instructed to make him look like a bad ass. Thin pointy eyebrows, dark lips, but with blush on his cheeks. I am so curious what he will look like with wig and clothes.
Face-up and Bodyblush on this smexy man :D
At first I was not sure if I liked this mold, but I do in the end. Funny how that can go ^^
He has enormous hands and feet.
And hence, the journey to find him a new name starts again. D:
The one thing I love about ball-jointed dolls is the endless customisations that can be done on them. This boy has had four faceups in his time (two since he came to live with me), and mods done to his eyes and nose.
This was such a fun project (again!!) haha ^^
I got to do the face-up and bodyblush of Charles' Creatures Cabinet Fidelia Firefly, and she is so cute. I totally love her. Very tiny, very slender, and it was fun posing her. (ahum it's a lot of pictures I took and uploaden of her *^_^*)
Anyway, enjoy the photos.
My first ever attempt at a faceup. It came out a little bolder than I intended, and I still need to trim her lashes down, but overall it's less of a train wreck than I was expecting. This wasn't only my first BJD faceup, but my first time working with an airbrush, pastels and watercolor pencils. So, while not perfect, it could have been much worse.
Next time around, I won't be working under the Ott Light. That light made everything seem lighter and less bold than it really was, leading me to overdue the density of pastels on the lips. I need to do my next faceup under natural light.
I also learned that I not only have much to learn in terms of painting and airbrushing, but also of cosmetics and picking colors for a given skin tone. I wanted her to look natural, but due to the aforementioned Ott Light issue, she came out looking quite made-up. :-/
She also needs dark hair, but the only wig I have in 9-10 is the platinum bombshell...
Face up commission is now available.

I did this face-up a little while back for a friend of mine. He has some beauty marks over his face :)
I also had to sand his cheeks to his face would become a bit thinner. The originally round cheeks of this mold were not really fitting the character she had in mind for him.
