This is my second attempt at a BJD faceup. My friend was kind enough to let me paint her lati yellow Lumi. The weather has been so humid most the time that I only got to work on it one layer every several days! I'm a sucker for short eyebrows.
Pastel and watercolor pencil and the tiniest touch of acrylic paint. It's not sealed because I can't spray and he needed a faceup to go to CCBJD.
(It's sealed underneath of course, with liquitex and a makeup sponge but I can't do that on top of it without wrecking it.)
With eyes in.
Second faceup on my practicehead from Dollfamily. Hope that I can use this makeup idea for on my Granado girl. She will bee my Goth queen ;)
Faceup commission for napoleonchan's Silent Hill-esque demonic creature, Beelzablorg. Looks like he just had a fresh meal...
Cavlie's wig details:
Color: light blond with pinkish undertones
Length: Extra long
Style: Central parting with the rest of the hair gathered into a side pony-tail.
Finally gave this gorgeous guy a face. He is in oriental skin and definitely a stand-out doll in my collection. I love all of his features, as you will soon see he did already get some extensive camera time. :)
I don`t know how I will return her to her owner after faceup..I cannot leave her out of my hands, she is absolutely cute, I`m in love with her..
These are some faceup attempts by yours truly. I'm not totally happy with them, they're messy in places, but they're way better than what I used to call a faceup. The brunette is mine, the blond is my nieces. I think I overdid the shadow on my girl, and her eyebrows are too close together (man I struggled with those brows!). I got sloppy with the crease line above the eye on my nieces doll. I kinda like how the lips turned out, but those could be better too.
Overall, I love how they're the same sculpt but look so different.
