Ran across an outside gallery in downtown Las Vegas. Large canvas sheets with painitngs and portraits. Some six feet tall and this the size of your palm. Some were quite marvelous like this one. Obvious work and talent to sit out in a lot in the weather but not all art is meant to last forever. HMM

Found the Sigma 150-600 much more useful in the boggy habitat than a 100mm macro. (tripod kept sinking though!)

Face detail on one of George John Vulliamy's dolphin lamp standards on the Queen's Walk, between Southwark and Waterloo Bridges.
On closer inspection, the face is covered in cobwebs but I didn't notice them until I was processing the image at home.
You can see a bit of his white "face" in this shot. I had him all lined up for a front-facing portrait that really showed off that white face when he flew away to this perch. I was surprised to see he could fly with all the dew on his wings. Photographed in the La Crosse River Marsh.
the south east face of Mam Tor is an active landslip of unstable shale layers, giving rise to it's alternative name - the Shivering Mountain
When blue skies appear in blue hour, my imagination calls out for black and white and long exposure with negative space.

I was happy to get this photo of a Yellow-faced honeyeater feeding on a bottlebrush flower they have come to my area on their southern migration. They are quick birds and they don't stay still for long.
Scientific name: Lichenostomus chrysops
