KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

The current favourite bloom in my garden.

Some say the Rosa 'Angel Face' is the best looking purple rose. The colour is a mauve-lavender with some pink. It is a cross of a floribundas and hybrid tea rose.

Harvey Dent, AKA Two-Face, is one of the Batman's most dangerous and conflicted foes.

---

Two-Face was one of the easier characters to build for, in large part because of his simplistic suit design and large (comparatively) stature. That said however, his face was one of the most challenging aspects as it required me to build two halves of one head that spanned the width of 3 (and not 4) studs, while still being stable. Although not perfectly divided, I used a printed leg (Azog) and Ninjago stickers (among others) to help bridge the gap and even out the burns.

My Two-Face takes inspiration from Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Arkham City. His base is one of the collection's largest and it depicts an imploded courthouse.

Forms of Gotham

A Rain soaked Dalila.

A Native American legend held that an evil spirit lived in the ocean. A beautiful maiden visited the area with her tribe for a great feast. She took her dog and her kittens in a basket with her when she went down by the waves and danced. The evil spirit emerged and grabbed the beautiful maiden and tried to force her to look at him. She refused and gazed at the moon. Her dog went into the water carrying the basket of kittens and tried to save the maiden. The monster kicked the dog and cast the kittens into the ocean. The kittens and the dog turned to stone. The maiden also turned to stone and continues to gaze toward the moon.

It's called Pareidolia, finding faces in things. I found this on a wagon.

White-faced Heron (Egretta novaehollandiae) hunting at dusk in the streets of Heathcote, central Victoria, Australia. A few days later, a White-faced Heron was reported on Ebird on the same town street, so this fellow is quite the famous Heron.

The plumes on the back look quite a bit longer than usual, so I wondered if this Heron was in breeding plumage (?); however, the breeding season for this species is September-December.

Bandon Beach, Oregon. The Castle, Face Rock, and the Cat and Kittens are seen from the bluff above the beach.

I love these little sweat bees. They are maybe my favorite little bugs to photograph. They are small though so they are difficult to spot. Had trouble catching this one as it was windy and the flower was swaying a lot which made it challenging to focus.

Undulatus asperatus double periodicity and somebody is watching :-) Taken this Saturday, since my first asperitas upload I have noticed these clouds 4-5 times.. climate is changing. To DP

Thank you so much for your support, visit, comments and faves!

I really appreciate each of them!!! Have a great day, my friends!

Yet another iconic sound of the Peruvian Amazon, but such a rare sight.

There aren't many photos of this bird out there - its colours, ground dwelling behaviour and aversion to open spaces in the dark undergrowth of the Amazon all combined to make it one hard to see bird!

Even with the help of playback it seems more like a ghost with a voice than a real bird.

These are nicknamed, "Wing Shufflers" for their habit of landing and then rapidly flipflopping their wings a few times.

This one was searching for a morning treat.

These birds have such a fine delicate set of markings. The soft grey makes a fine base for the sculpted black feathers and face.

When I first strated bird photography, these were some of the very first birds I worked with.

Still have a warm fuzzy for them.

I've been assuming non-breeding white-faced Ibis, Plegadis chihi, because of where this is (Las Vegas area) and no reported sightings of glossy at the time I took this picture in that area.

But is it? Brown eye, not red. Should I be labeling this a glossy ibis?

Note: this was taken at Henderson Bird Viewing preserve, a few miles southeast of Las Vegas, and an area with lots of birders walking around in the mornings.

White-faced Darter...Leucorrhinia dubia.

Near Carlisle, Cumbria, England.

Found the Sigma 150-600 much more useful in the boggy habitat than a 100mm macro. (tripod kept sinking though!)
