The Black Faced Ibis is found in grassland and fields in Southern and Western South America. This bird I saw at the Florida Zoo.

Taken in the wild at Erongo Wilderness Lodge... a near endemic species.

I saw a face in my hiking shoes, in a fabric, in a food processor and in the remote control. Too much fun!

If you look closer on the rock on the left side...

Whilst out cycling in the New Forest last week we came face to face with this beautiful New Forest pony.

Many thanks for all the kind comments and faves on my images. They are very much appreciated.

Smile on Saturday!

I'm looking forward to see the workmen again.......

but unfortunately they don't come, because it's weekend….

so I just have to wait….", murmurs Sunday Face ~~~

This is the last 'face' shot I was able to take during the renovation, (which is now finished), before my 'big' fall.

Wishing you all a sunny Sunday ;-))

MR. PAUL:

As you can see I am fully protected against covid-19.

I have to continue with that face protection, because I will be vaccinated on 9 May.

Then I can give everyone a big bear kiss again.

What looks like a noisy face-off among the nesting Royal Spoonbills was actually surprisingly quiet apart from the flapping of wings. The open bills looked quite dramatic and threatening.

I've been visiting here regularly in hope of one day soon seeing some little spoonbills. Still a way to go yet.

Happy Wings Wednesday!

A couple of American White Pelicans dwarf a Reddish Egret and almost seem amused at the little guy. Or perhaps they're thinking that the egret looks like a nice snack...

When viewing a Reddish Egret without other birds around, they look like a fairly large bird. So this gives a nice sense of just how huge the American White Pelicans are.

This encounter occurred along the gulf coast of Texas.

The world of macro-photography has created a whole new set of challenges and adventures for me. I am really enjoying those challenges, especially when other wildlife photography opportunities are limited.
