I found myself surrounded by the wonderful smell of Lavender at the weekend whilst visiting Somerset Lavender in Faulkland, a lovely place to visit for a Cream Tea and to enjoy the wonderful Flora at the Farm which is known as Horsepond.
Another place and photograph off the bucket list, not to say I wont return for a better shot though! :)

We went to the iconic Yosemite National Park with destination Half Dome. It's a strenuous 18 miles (29 km) roundtrip hike with 4800 feet (1500 m) altitude gain.
I was last in our group to reach the peak, but I made it! That's me on the Visor located on top of Half Dome. My heart no longer functions 100% after a heart surgery 12 years back, which makes it hard to pump oxygen at high latitude. So I made frequent stops, especially when climbing the 45 degrees cables near the top. I was also one-eyed with a pirate patch - a week earlier I had an eye-lid surgery. One might think that with one eye covered it is difficult to judge the depth when walking, but I found that when moving, the brain makes up for it because a closer object such as a stone moves slightly faster than the ground. A brain is a marvelous invention!
If you look closely you see two rock climbers scaling Half Dome from the front side.
I processed an balanced, a paintery and an enhanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged them selectively, and carefully adjusted the curves and color balance.

Jet lagged, I woke up early, and started an hike before sunrise up the mountain from my hometown Schuders, located in the Swiss Alps near the Austrian border. I reached the top of the mountain ridge shortly after sunrise.
I processed a realistic, a photographic, and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Becky was such a trooper standing in the cold water. Thankfully her toes didn't fall off haha. I always appreciate a model who is up for slightly uncomfortable situations. I only ask if I think it'll be worth it. I think it was in this case :)

Two years ago we did a road trip from California to Utah. We drove along the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada, and stopped at the Little A'Le'Inn, located near the mysterious Area 51. An old truck is parked in front of the restaurant. It was very windy that night, and I had to take several shots until I got one where the flying saucer was not moving too much.
I processed a paintery and a balanced HDR photo from four RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Pretty spewing I just didn't get Jake (the singer) in the photo but the emotion in it is just way too good not to upload!
Went to an awesome local gig last Thursday and got to take a bunch of photos I'm happy with! Also got to take photos of one of my favourite bands, In Hearts Wake. Worst part about it was trying to choose a small amount of favourites to upload on here, which clearly I couldn't do so instead there are about 13 or so of them hahah ah well. Makes up for the lack of uploading I've been doing I guess.
This tested the 7d's high ISO performance too, with most of the night being shot at 4000. I think it has done pretty damn well!
