The northern white rhinoceros, or northern square-lipped rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum cottoni), is one of the two subspecies of the white rhinoceros. These animals are extinct in the wild and there are currently seven left in captivity - two at the San Diego Safari Park.
This is Angalifu, a male at the San Diego Safari Park in Escondido, CA. Angalifu is one of three male Northern White Rhino's in the world. Unfortunately this species of rhino will be extinct in our lifetime.

At Kirstenbosch, they constructed this memorial to extinct flowers -- each piece of paper describes the individual flower. Neat idea.

An old photo of some extinct sea lions.
…...Ok, ok, it’s not real obviously. It was just a fun little Photoshop Idea I had. Just about everyone that has Photoshop nowadays tries to combine two animals together. So I thought I would try it out and put my own little spin on it by making the animal look like an old extinct species.

C'est un véritable carton pour le quatrième volet des aventures des Transformers, L'Age de l'Extinction à déjà obtenue plus de 752 millions de dollars de recettes au niveau mondial. Carton plein donc puisqu'il bat dans difficultés apparentes X-Men. Transformers est donc le plus gros succès de l'année 2014, enfin, pour le moment !

The Santiago and Chalk Mountains north of Big Bend National Park, Texas. Santiago Peak is on the left. This is the same peak from this shot (www.flickr.com/photos/tomhaymes/6414338145/) but from the eastern side rather than the western side. I have no idea if there are any actually volcanoes in this picture but they sure look like cinder cones to me.
