I made these imaginal portraits of the rock bands CHICOSCI, FASPITCH, DEATH BY STEREO, SIN, and SWITCH by commission from Pulp magazine.
Original concept was to tie the entire feature with a big nod to German Expressionist cinema.

PULP magazine August 2006 issue features 15 exceptional Filipino rock bands who will compete for the WORLD BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2006.
Only one band will make it to the World Grand Finals to be held in Hongkong late this year.
This abstract expressionism painting reflects the feelings of wonder and excitement I had viewing the exquisite architecture and gardens of Catherine's palace and the transcendent experience of walking into the Amber Room, a magnificent rococo Ball Room. As music is often an accompaniment to my art, the beautiful melodies of Sergei Rachmaninoff with the colourful tones and expressive lyricism helped guide my artistic impressions of the breathtaking beauty I experienced.
Inspired by the paw prints I sometimes find on my vehicle's hood and windshield.

I kinda like black & white street photography of late as they create a timeless moment in life and it freezes the dimension of time in that very second. I dunno why i like this image. Even though it's not by any way sharp and there is alot of noise, but whenever i look at the photo, its brings back the joy of this little girl hopping past me happily.
My sub-conscious mind brought me back the youth when i was a little boy, viewing the very same scene of a girl hopping past me happily but the perspective differs now and then.
It explains the connectivity of this photo to my past, like a dream with alot of blur images zooming past in my brain and i cant get hold of the girl's face that went pass me when i was young. Its a form of a recognition order......
My first timelapse photography! The subject is an installation piece I created for the iPHONE Therefore iART exhibition at the Chicago Art Department gallery.
The relief sculpture is a paper/plaster composite wall panel. Portrait projection uses images shot, manipulated and edited with Brushes and Juxtaposer on my iphone .
